15" Plush Cat Lounger by
Ablang
I can relate to that statement. My cat has ignored some of the
things I have brought home, but this round pet bed she took to the same
day.
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Prego? Is that a name or a breed?
ha! My Prego would never sleep on anything bought with him in mind :-)

John Kerry hates cats ! ! ! ! ! ! ! by
Karl-Hugo Weesberg
He will create a law that all cats will be considered food in the
future and all your cats will be butchered, grilled and eaten!!!
So better vote for George W.Bush, because Bush LOVES cats ! ! !

Indoor kittens and indoors/outdoors cat -- how to manage? by
[email protected]
We've just adopted two beautiful kittens and want to keep them indoor
only.
However, we already have a cat that comes in and out as she pleases.
We have a Staywell door but while that keeps neighborhood critters out
of the house, it does not restrict indoor critters from going out.
Does anyone...

Stupid pet (owner?) guardian trick by
Craig Petersen
I would like to know "who" this woman is so I can file animal abuse
charges against her. People this idotic do not deserve to have pets
period! Furthermore, I would like to see more people refer to the term
"guardian" rather than "owner". "Ownership" implies that your pet is an
inanimate object...

Vetenarian 'killer' by
eleaticus
Sorry for the crossposts. I just now checked out the cat groups but didn't
really see which one would be best, nor how much overlap there is.
My 15-year old, Sadie Bugbane, was abused on her first trip to the vet, and
since then it is almost worth the vet's life to take her in the doc.
She is...

which science diet formula? by
glenn
What's the difference between the science diet "feline adult" formula
and the "senior" formula? I'm talking about the dry food that comes
in the bag. I've continued to feed my 11 year old cat the "adult"
formula despite the label saying it's for cats under 7 years. A vet
some time ago told me it...

Spraying Males by
Tiners
My mum has two spraying males that spray her back porch. Her cat is 11 yrs
old and is fixed. Any advice on what she can use to get them to stop
spraying on her back porch. My mum's cat is also an indoor cat. She also
has a dog but it's altered to.
Thanks in advanced for any advice!

Which litter an tray is best by
Rach
Hi every1,
I was just wondering if anyone had any views on which type of litter (clay,
wood, catsan, silica) is best to use.
AND which kind of litter tray? Has anyone tried the 'self-cleaning ones'?
I have one kitten (he is 10 weeks old).
Any thoughts will be a great help

Cats and Snakes by
[email protected]
Our two kittens have gotten pretty big now at 10 months. Since we
sometimes
have mice, we have encouraged their natural hunting instincts and they
are both
terror on the mole and mouse population. Yesterday Spirit ran into the
house
and proudly showed us the 3" garter snake he had caught. The snake...

Seeking an EXCELLENT home for my baby-cat, Samantha... by
Need Sec...
Hi all,
As the subject says. My health is failing on many counts and it grows more
and more difficult to give my baby-cat the love, attention, and care she so
rightly deserves.
I live near the Capital Region of NY, US, near Albany... I would prefer to
place my cat somewhere not too far from me,...

I'm pretty new to this group and I've only been lurking. Today's story
I'd like to share.......................
After saving a little brown tabby lately that we wanted to adopt, we found
out he was FelV+. We have 2 other healthy kitties and didn't want to mix
them in together.
So, we decided...

Understanding what pets say by
Ablang
Pets seem surprisingly intelligent. Mine seems to have learned the
meaning of certain words and/or phrases. Like when I say "Ready to eat?",
my normally quiet kitty (Russian Blue) will become very vocal. What words
or commands does your pet understand?
And if were supposed to be smarter than...

Am I the Alpha Cat? by
Helen Miles
Unlike dogs, eye contact is not a dominance signal. Rather, it is a
signal of friendship, as it is in humans.
Orchid
Sorry, but I beg to differ. In cats eye contact is a threat. If you star
at a cat you are deliberately intimidating it. In the wild, a dominant
cat will stare at a rival,...
