me with a fat cat in Malaysia by
Jack Campin
At the restaurant/gift shop beside the cat and dog rescue centre
in Langkawi in April. This should be public:

If it looks like I'm holding it awkwardly it's because there was
a heck of a lot of cat and it seemed to be...

New cat in the neighborhood by
dgk
A juvenile tabby was eating at one of the bowls by my front door. I
had just biked into the driveway and saw it. It looked at me but
didn't run until I got a bit closer.I couldn't see clearly but it
looked like it had some kind of collar. I immediately notified the
block's cat lady, Serene. I guess...

I heard that noise again by
dgk
You know, the one that's sort of like a Meow but isn't complete
because something is blocking it. Urr. Urr. Urrr. That means Marlo is
coming. And she has something in her mouth. It's almost always a
waterbug. She has this thing for waterbugs. The other cats will look
at them and display a bit of...

There was no hurricane in the UK by
John Ross Mc Master
From the BBC so it must be the truth
BBC weather forecaster Michael Fish was left famously red-faced when,
on the eve of the Great Storm of 1987, he assured the British public
there would be no "hurricane".
Though he failed to predict a ferocious storm was about to turn north
and hit the UK, he...

Photo of the new trans-Bosphorus tunnel in Istanbul, with cat getting
a cuddle in what looks like a rather scary setting:

Us Brits are expecting a hurricane by
Christina Websell
Similar to the 1987 one, overnight. Boyfie and myself are tucked up safely
in the house, so no need to worry about us.
Whether it will happen, I don't know. It might do, our weather forecasters
are quite good.
I'll tell you tomorrow. If I have power..

I finally bit the bullet and created an account.
I've been patient as my employers advised against it for anyone working in a
frontline childcare team, and to wait quite a long time after you left, so
it will be three years on 31 October. Should be OK now ;-)
OMG, it looks very complicated and...

Just like a dog... by
jmcquown[_2_]
Persia was on the floor next to the couch, grooming herself. She
started scratching an itch on her neck. When she stopped I said, "Got
an itchy spot, girl?" and reached down to give her scritches in the same
spot.
Just like a dog, when I started scratching her hind leg came up and she...

Boyfie made a mistake by
Christina Websell
I made a chilli-con-carne tonight and I like it very hot. I heard him
licking the pan I made it in, still on the cooker top before I washed it. As
he knows very well he is not supposed to do this, I let him do it for a few
minutes.
He jumped down the very second he heard me get up from my...

More Sammy by
Cheryl[_3_]
Tonight Sammy saw Rhett being his wild self running up and down the cat
tower so he went over to investigate. I guess Rhett was just a little
too much for him as playful as he was and Sammy went running away for a
while. Not for long, so he wasn't really too upset.
Right now Sam and Shamrock...

My friends cat Coco had to be sent to the rainbow bridge by the vet. He was about 15 and was a very loving cat. He will be missed.

Why does she do it? by
Lesley[_4_]
This PC is in the bedroom and if I am using it I sit on an old Ottoman, mum gave me when she moved after dad died. Bonnie will come and sit next to me, she even watches the screen....But if I acknowledge she's sitting there beyond looking vaguely in her general direction i.e. if I dare to touch...

Sammy, the peace maker by
Cheryl[_3_]
Shamrock and Rhett were going through there normal chasing session. The
one in which Shamrock is not happy about, so he runs and hisses and
growls with Rhett right on his heels. Shamrock's "safe place" is on top
of a high dresser in my room and Rhett sits on top of the TV to
intimidate him,...

Boyfie had a fight! by
Christina Websell
I heard that wowling singing song just outside the back door at 9.30 a.m.
that tells you there is a cat territory dispute.
it was Boyfie and a medium-long-haired white cat I have never seen before, a
beautiful cat, pristine, reflective collar, obviously well looked after.
When I opened the back...

Boyfie pooed in the bath again, despite having a litterbox a few feet away.
It's easily cleaned up but why won't he use the litterbox when he is
desperate?
He just won't use the lb

Interesting observation - Sammy by
Cheryl[_3_]
I've noticed he is a bit of a strange cat as in very vocal, not noticing
certain things, and getting surprised easily by the other cats. I think
he's deaf. It could also be why he's adopted the guest room as his own,
it has become familiar. He's learning to share it with Shamrock because
I...
