Lab results: UPDATE by
Christina Websell
I was finally able to discover the lab results at my appointment this
morning.
The nurse was very pleasant, gave me all the time I needed to explain, and
showed me the latest letter from the hospital.
It says I had a mucinous tumour, which was borderline, and with some
abnormal cells in the...

Tiffy Update: June 15, 2005 by
Flippy
Tiffy's eye examination went well today. Her corneal ulcer has healed, but
there is slight blood vessel scarring. We will use anti-inflammatory
medication, the Interferon in Tears to try and reduce the corneal scarring.
The responsive of the corneal scarring can be unpredictable. This treatment
may...

Holy Crap Those Purrs Rocked! by
Enfilade
So, for all you folks who were purring for me to get the computer
teaching job for the summer, not only did I get it, but--a month after
being told I wasn't accepted to university this fall--the English
Department got magic money and now I /am/ going to university this
fall, /on full scholarship/. ...

She's doing well and is currently in Intensive Care for the initial 24 hour

Surprise in NEW shoe by
Debra Berry
I bought a lovely white pair of new running shoes and wore them
for the first time yesterday. After watching a bit of TV last
night I was going to put the garbage out and found a
surprise when I was putting on my shoes......kitty throwup!
No place else, just inside of one of my NEW shoes. I...

Tonight, Paw brought home the purrfect present... by
Steve Touchstone
a brand new box. It's my absolute favorite type of box, too, just the
right size to crawl into. It has little round holes in the side, jut
right to look out through and reach out and touch someone as they walk
by - hee hee. Anyway, after Paw put it down, as I was investigating
the prize ole Spot...

Poor Ranger! by
Dan M
The last few days have been rough for little baby Ranger. Sunday
morning she was climbing the bedroom curtains when an earthquake rumbled
through and almost knocked her off the curtains. Just a few minutes ago
Ranger was sleeping on the back of the couch when a 5.3 quake hit
Yucaipa, about 8-10...

has a LOT of vet bills, so her mom is making these kitty beds for her
to sell. She doesn't have them made ahead. I guess she makes them on
order. I just wanted yoou to see one. Aren't they cute?...

This will work, I just know it! (somewhat OT) by
Pat
Without time to go deeply into details or even an outline, I ask for good
thought-energy and purrs sent this way for me and my owners to be able to
get a good home together in the near future. Help, help, HELP!?!
I know things can go in any direction but with you all pulling & purring for
us,...

Introduction #1 (long) by
Mischief
Well, even though at this point I do NOT want to keep this stray kitty,
(yeah yeah yeah I hear you snickering) one thing I will have to do
eventually is introduce Kitty to Imp and Mischief. I thought I would
try a little tonight.
This proved to be interesting.
When I first owned Imp and brought...

attn Catnipped: Fibromyalgia by
Monique Y. Mudama
I found out that my aunt has a friend who has drastically reduced her
fibro symptoms by practicing yoga. I don't know much beyond that, but
I thought you might find it interesting. If you're interested, I may
be able to find out more.
(I'm pretty sure this is right; it's possible there's some...

Oscar needs to go to the vet ... by
Monique Y. Mudama
She has that lip EG thing again. Sigh. I was hoping that episode
over the winter was just a fluke; if it happens twice, I'm betting it
will keep happening. Poor kitty. Although, truth be told, she
doesn't seem to notice it. It sure doesn't look very nice.

Major purrs please! (Not for me) by
Helen Miles
Folks, please could my friend Paddy have some major purrs?
Paddy is a wonderful friend, who is my University lecturer from when I
was doing my bachelors degree 15 years ago. He has been a mentor, a dear
friend, and has supported me through thick and thin as only close
friends can do.
Last night,...

The mighty huntress by
wafflycat
This afternoon, the Mighty Huntress was in fien form. In the space of
half-an-hour, she brought me two voles and a shrew. One vole & the shrew
were alive & uninjured, so after a spell in the rescue box to recover from
shock, they were set loose in the long grass on the banks of the stream. The
dead...

We're finally back home. Got home yesterday afternoon, it was a

We were able to get close to the price we wanted at the leather
factory, so in August we should be receiving a new couch and loveseat.

More excitement by
Dan M
I believe I mentioned that my momis continuing on chemo for the breast
cancer she had removed last year. She goes in every week for monoclonal
antibodies, and every three weeks for chemo. Last week she went into the
hospital for a same-day procedure, implanting a catheter to make the
chemo easier....
