[OT] Thunderbird Help Needed by
Jeanne Hedge
Anyone here know anything about Thunderbird? (2.0.0.6)
My mom's been having trouble with her email program recently (Outlook
- she's run it for years) in that it, alternatively, won't download or
won't send. Although her ISP recently screwed up their servers so
badly she, and most of their other...

[OT] This is too much! by
CatNipped
I called my surgeon's office again this morning and explained *AGAIN*
why I am so anxious to hear my test results and the secretary (I found
out he doesn't have a nurse on staff - more later) said that he is in
surgery for the rest of the week that he only does "clinics" on Mondays
and Tuesdays!!!!...

[OT] Things that don't exist by

This is really cute and clever. And it is totally OT. But still
worth a watch:

[OT] These are amazing! by

Remember folding up pieces of paper, cutting out diamond-shaped
holes in them, and then opening them up to reveal a snowflake, or
other symmetric pattern? Here's some art made by cutting things
out of paper:

And here's another one, with a very...

[OT] The Yowlet turns 2 by
Yowie
I can't believe The Yowlet, my baby, is 2 today. He's no longer a baby, but
very much a little boy, with all the 'boy' traits of liking cars, going fast
enough to scare Mum and make Dad proud on his trike, a penchant for hitting
things with other things, insatiable curiousity, and of course,...

[OT] The Yowlet turns 1! by
Yowie
I still can't believe a year has passed since my beautiful baby boy was
born!
My family had a small party for Cary, and my sister was kind enough to take
the photos after my camera's batteries conveniently died as we got there.
Here's my sister's Yahoo page, and the album you need to look at is...

[OT] The Ratbag Poet goes live by
Yowie
My father's poems finally hit the WWW:
http://members.optusnet.com.au/~drwatson/RatbagPoet/
They're are in the mostly in the tradition of Banjo Patterson's and Henry
Lawson's Australian Bush Poetry "tall tales" set to verse but the range
varies from farcical to haunting.
I hope you enjoy them...

[OT] The process has begun by
Ginger-lyn
DH has made arrangements to move in with a friend, starting this Friday
or Saturday. My reaction is to cry; his reaction is to snap at me.
I know I did all I could. And I know that it will be much better
emotionally for me once he is gone. But I do not know how I will
survive, and I am...

[OT] The Oscar Contenders by
CatNipped
I like to see all the movies nominated for Oscars if they look at all
interesting and here's my take on this year's nominees:
"Sideways" - didn't see this one yet.
"The Aviator" - it was enjoyable, but not remarkable - a bit too long. I
agree that Cate Blanchett should have gotten the Oscar for...

[OT] The medical oddyssey by
Mark Edwards
Okay, bactrack: pulled muscle groups, Alleve, breathing spasms, frequent
vomiting, doctor ( now fired) who pretty much disregarded my concerns.
Regular Doctor says, "Let me take a look at the back." and "That is no
longer a pulled muscle, but a massive infection."
In one simple statement, I'm...

[OT] The magic of grass (the lawn variety) by
Yowie
Work was busy, stressful and demanding. I came home with a headache and sore
feet, exhausted and grumpy. Playing with Cary was a chore rather than
enjoyable, because every single one of his delighted squeals was like a
dagger through my sore head and running after him just made my feet...

[OT] The longest 10 minutes of my life by
Yowie
Nothing terribly out of the ordinary for a Thursday evening. Joel made
dinner, we ate it and were sitting around watching TV.
"We need need bread for tomorrow" he said.
"Ok, I'll go out, I need to get a few more fish anyway," I replied, as the
last of my neons was floating upside down in my...

[OT] The ending of Lost by
Yowie
Was an avid fan of the first season.
Had the Yowlet somewhere in the second season, which made it rather hard
to keep up.
Saw some of the third & fourth seasons, but it had stopped making sense
because I didn't know the plot lines (although the eye candy was still
pleasant enough).
Entirely...

[OT] The drawback to still getting milk delivered .... by
Monique Y. Mudama
We get our milk delivered. It comes on Tuesdays with a minimum of 3
bottles. Because we are only two people (especially now that I've
switched to non-dairy milk -- actually I'm finding Almond Breeze to be
quite yummy), we periodically cancel the order, too.
Well, we got an order this Tuesday,...

[OT] The dangers of tidy by
Yowie
My desk at work is usually somewhat chaotic. Its not as bad as some people,
but those 'some people' are blokes, and I am not. For some reason its
expected that my desk should be tidy. I have no idea why people get their
knickers in a knot about it - i can always find everything I need in...

[OT] The buck stops here? by
John F. Eldredge
http://www.wsmv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4057964&nav=menu109_3
In Paris, TN, a deer charged into a bank through a plate-glass window,
trampled several desks, and eventually ended up trapped in the branch
president's office. The president kept the office door shut to keep
the deer confined until a...

[OT] The big rollover by
[email protected]
Sometimes I really wish I had a camera. Most of the time, that's
because there's a cat doing something cute and I want to show
everyone. But once in a great while, I want to take a picture of
something other than a cat (but don't tell my guys, they might
get huffy).
As I was getting into my car at...
