Moving by jmc
Poor Meep. This morning, I stuck her in a room that she's usually banned from, and when she came out, everything was gone! Movers came and packed us out. I didn't realize just how badly (and quietly) she's stressing, until the furniture was gone: The floors were just covered by cat hair! ...

Water Rejection by Iain
My cat, Tess, refuses to drink water unless it is from a container in my hand. This means she will not drink water alone, not even if she is very thirsty. I can't always be there to make sure she drinks enough, so is there any way I can persuade her to drink alone? ~Iain

Bandit's Going Blind by CatNipped
Or at least very, very near-sighted. At 16, I guess that's not all that unusual. She's been to the vet recently and is in great health otherwise, so this isn't the result of an illness, just age. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it, the only reason I noticed is that she doesn't look me in...

Help with cat and unacceptable behavior... (x-post) by xkatx
I'm wondering if anyone has any advice for a fairly annoying situation... We have a cat, Sally. We've had her since the day she was born, as she's from a litter of kittens my cat had (accidently) back in September '04, so she's about a year and a half old now. She's spayed. She was a...

AAA med discount by teri
Just FYI for those who's cats are on medications. If you get your meds at regular drug stores, and you have AAA cards, you can use the cards for discounts on the meds. Recently I got some Metronidazole/Flagyl at the vet's office - $16. The next week got the same amount at Rite Aid with my AAA...

litter box issues by meee
I was just wondering if there is any way to train a cat to cover her 'deposits'? Most of my cats have great litterbox manners, but every so often i would find one uncovered. I finally found the culprit yesterday; Cougar!! She doesn't even sniff, just gets up and leaves. Any ideas??? It's...

Cat girl loves dog boy...but not his dog by furfin
A cat person friend of mine recently moved in with a boy who has a dog which she is having a hard time with as follows: 1) Dog has a terrible entrenched long-untreated case of mange which was also transmitted to one of her two cats and (mildly) to the humans. Cat girl has encouraged dog boy to get...

my cat has developed a sudden preference for clothing over the litter box by [email protected]
My husband and I and our healthy 10 year old cat Maudling moved to a new apartment 2 months ago. She seemed to adjust to the new surroundings quickly and appears to be quite happy. She has a lot more room to run around in, has plenty of toys and gets loads of attention. For the first month she...
