Something wrong with my dwarf hamster? by
Bunny
My dwarf hamster is acting kind of weird. The first week I got her she
was fine and slept in her bed. Then she constantly kept changing where
she slept. And now she doesn't even sleep in her bed. She just lays
somewhere or under her wheel. I give her a toilet roll so she can chew
but she doesn't do...

Cat show this week in NYC by
dgk
The cat show is going to be at Madison Square Garden this weekend.
Once again I've failed to train Espy for the Agility competition. Too
bad, I'm sure that he'd win.
I always go with a few friends. I'm not into breeding cats but it's
interesting to see the various kinds and how they judge the...

Update on shy cat Gracie by
Gregg
Hello Everyone,
Gracie is coming out from beneath the bed where she likes to hide,
she likes watching the birds and has meow to tell one of us. me or my
wife to open up the blinds so she can see the birds. She has scented
where my late cat once marked her area, and has even jumped up on one
of the...

Can a vet give a second opinion on my cat's liver issues? by
Joshua McGee
Hi,
My cat has lost half her body weight. We thought she wasn't
tolerating her food any longer, and tried making changes at home for
too long before we went to the vet. She has undergone personality
changes, is lethargic and vomiting, and is dehydrated. I have a pdf
fax of her blood results,...

Gabby is a funny name for a boy. by
-Lost
1 month and 1 day ago the cutest, sharpest, most gorgeous all-around
kitten came into my home and after a bit of reluctance I inducted HER
into my home.
After throwing a few names back and forth and NEVER questioning my
spouse at all over the sex of the cat. Especially after I watched
them...

Behavioral Problem? by
Buddy's Mom
We adopted a Maine Coon from a shelter about 3 years ago - he is
nearly 6 years old now. He is the only cat and an inside cat. We
have no children, so it is only my husband and myself.
In April, I went out of town for one night. Buddy, the kitty,
attacked my husband in bed that night - this was...

-Lost
OK lads and lasses, Gabby and I need your help and sagely advice,
PLEASE, only offer information that is beneficial. I do not need to
hear that I should have locked my child up or kept my kid from being
able to walk around in her own home.
After CatNipped suggested that we stop the...

Glo Kitty Collars... by
AR
I keep buying my cat these to product him from cars at night, and he
keeps coming home without them. It's getting expensive to keep
replacing them. I'm thinking of gluing it shut, and making the collar
looser so he won't hurt himself if he gets it caught on something. Bad
idea? Any other collars...

my cats blood chemistry by
Tara Legale
I need to have dental work done on my cat (9 years old). I had them do the
pre-blood chemisty to check for problems. Her creatinine is a little high
at 2.2 (high end max 1.6 and is related to her kidney function), her ALT is
74 (high end max should be no more than 50, this is related to liver...

Help introducing new cat by
Talker
We have an older indoor cat we adopted several years ago. She followed us
into the house and has been here since. Recently, we had a young cat, less
than a year old, show up outside. She is friendly, healthy, and judging by
the way she occasionally tries to come in is either a lost or...

HELP - Urination Question by
EADGBE[_2_]
We have three indoor cats. We have four litterboxes for them. We
used to use a clay-type litter designed for multiple cats, but
recently we changed to Fresh Step because it seems to control odour a
bit better.
Two of our cats have continued to use the litterboxes as before, with
no problems...

How much to feed a 10 month old cat? by
RPSinha
We are feeding a neighborhood cat who visits us regularly. She is about
10 month old grey tabby. So far it has not been possible to weigh her
(she is friendly enough and lets us touch her but really panics if we
pick her up!)
Questions:
1. At this age do they get kitten food or adult?
2. What is...
