Thanks Hop! and Birthday Flowers by
jmcquown[_2_]
Thanks for the e-card! I didn't do anything special (John went back home at
the end of June). But he sent me flowers! Big yellow lillies, pink roses,
purple and white daisies. Very pretty! (Of course I know to keep Persia
away from the lillies... but I'm fortunate she doesn't jump up on...

OT - I'm Scared! by
CatNipped[_4_]
I know, after all I've been through, that I *hate* hospitals, but I
didn't realize until today how much I'm frightened of them. The "Wound
Clinic" was the out-patient service of a small hospital (DUH!) - I had
to go there today to see the doctor about my wound not healing well. As
I sat in...

Yes, Kitty, it's Raining! by
jmcquown[_2_]
I'm cat sitting again for my neighbor. They are indoor/outdoor cats. It
started raining lightly yesterday morning. After I fed the boys Fedders
wanted out. (Schwartzie just doesn't seem to care about going out anymore.)
Fedders got halfway down the covered walkway from the kitchen door and...

OT - Idiotic Subject by
CatNipped[_4_]
On another group, about a TV show, when it's "off-season" discussion
turns to any and everything to while away the time until fall's new
season. The questions can be as deep as "who/what created the universe"
or as idiotic as "what type of pencil do you use". Here's one in the
latter...

Dinner for a hot hot night by
Cheryl[_3_]
I know most of the US is under a heat dome, and on the east coast we're
no exception at well over 100F muggy degrees today, and close to that
all week. Unfortunately I participate in "Peak Rewards" through my
power company and they have been cycling my AC compressor all day and
it's almost 90F...

They don't like A/C by
dgk
My cats just don't seem to like air conditioning, even with the temp
over 100F. I used to leave it on for them when I went to work, just in
the bedroom. It has an opening in the door so they can come and go but
the cool air mostly stays in.
I have a streaming camera pointed at the platform on the...

cat miracle by
Matt Ferrari[_2_]
after my morning shower i walked out into the hallway and dragged toilet
paper like 15 feet.
Goofy actually just sat there watching me wind it back up. I was in shock
that he didnt attack it.
He sure pays alot of attention to it when its coming off the roll at the
source swiping and biting it.

Calendar Coincidence! by
jmcquown[_2_]
At the end of last year John sent me 2011 a cat calendar. It's one of those
desk-type calendars where you tear off a sheet each day and there's a photo
of a different cat. Just so happens today is my birthday. So this morning
I tore off the sheet from yesterday. Lo! and behold! Today's...

Foster Kitten news by
Mischief[_2_]
So one week ago today, I brought home a tiny little furball that had
lost his mama. He was estimated to be 2-3 weeks old, and just had tiny
baby incisors...he was covered in fleas and weighed 10 ounces...
Now he's flea-free, drinking KMR regularly, gained 4 ounces, and has
the tiny points of his...
