OT - Mini Rant by CatNipped[_4_]
I can't *STAND* those "type the text you see below" sign-in pages that are completely indecipherable! They can put a jpeg picture on the page that will fool "smart" software without making the user type in their user ID and password and *GUESS* at what the picture says over and over and over...

It's Humbling... by CatNipped[_4_]
.... *Really* humbling, how much trust Archer places in me. Not just the "gitchee belly" (a cat rolling onto his/her back to let you rub his/her belly - the most vulnerable spot on a cat... the 'bunny kick' is a killing maneuver in a serious cat fight); but the fact that he never even flinches...

(OT) The Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease by jmcquown[_2_]
An Uplifting story :) When I got my property tax bill for 2010 I was horrified to discover it was more than three times above the year before. I called lots of people, filled out lots of paperwork. In the end I still had to pay this outrageous amount by the 15th. So I paid it. But meanwhile...

Home, and pics by Marina
We're back from the island. It was a short stay this year, but the cats seem to be quite content to be home. At least they can sleep in peace without keeping one eye open for scary d*gs and big mean Kasper, who used to come to our shack expressly to bully Mir and Caliban. The doxie that drove...

St Sarsi by Lesley[_4_]
Sarsi has so far been hissed at, smacked, ignored etc and stood back whilst Bonnie ignored the kitten food and hoovered up Sarsi's supper and breakfast- this morning I was eating an egg and cress sandwich and Sarsi who apart from ham shows no interest in Hoomin food was begging for a share (she's...

Do cats throw up a lot? by J J Levin
As we prepare to make the big decision and adopt a couple of cats, my daughter (who has 2 cats) has told my wife that her cats throw up a lot all over the house. So that's a new concern for my wife. Do they really vomit a lot? I know cats can vomit at will if they need to, but "a lot"...

OT - Adele? by CatNipped[_4_]
Didn't someone, Joyce maybe, mention just hearing about "Adele"? I saw her on Graham Norton the other night and she sang this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwlNttH1SLI I've never heard of her before, but the song sounded familiar so I went to YouTube and looked it up. After hearing it...

fostering a VERY BIG kitten by Jack Campin
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14240681 (Two men in London in 1969 buy a lion cub from a department store and get him back to Africa... not the end of the story). As they say in the interview, no way would they do something like that now. They must have had a lot of money, but a fair bit of sense...

The S is back by Lesley[_4_]
Well that was fun!! I think we can take it she's healthy-it took about 20-30 minutes before she was lured back in the house after she did a runner over the fence when I came in and sat down in the back garden next door so we traipsed through the house next door me and 3 boys (I get the impression...
