Dad Update and Pet Therapy by
jmcquown
Hi folks and once again purrs to all who need them.
Dad was transferred to the nursing home yesterday. I got off the
phone with his doctor a little while ago. I am mildly furious (!)
that the hospital didn't give him some rather critical information.
He knew they'd been giving Dad "breathing...

Dad Update [OT] by
jmcquown
They tried to do the angioplasty (insert the balloon) to unblock the artery
in his leg and the blockage was too great. It wouldn't inflate the length
of the artery. The vascular surgeon also tried plastic tubing. No go.
What will happen now (either Thursday or Friday, they'll let me know)...

Dad update-10/8 by
SUQKRT
I tried unsuccessfully to get a hold of Mom & Dad this weekend. Finally I tried
my sister's # last, my niece answered. She said that Dad was back in the
Hospital with fluid around one of his lung. When they took out an artery for
his bypass they damaged a nerve in his diaphram. The Dr. say it will...

Dad's Decline (OT and Long) by
jmcquown[_2_]
An update, which may be premature. After rallying and doing so well upon
his last admission to the hospital... after being moved from ICU to a
regular room and charming all the nursing staff, he stopped eating. So they
did the nasal feeding tube thing. At that point he could still swallow....

Dad's eye (OT) by

I haven't had much time since I got back from Leeds to stay with my
parents to even read this group never mind post anything, usual cxxp -
I won't bother relating my current stressful stuff that's going on (not
the gas this time!), but just wanted to say thanks to all for the best
wishes and purrs...

Dad's got his 'puter back! by
I Clawdius
LO 2U All
After weeks of getting by on a very clunky old machine MH (My Hoomin)
has taken delivery of his repaired laptop. Not that there's room for it
on his lap 'cos I'm there (when I want to be that is).
He asked me & my seniors to purr for Abelard, Yowie's mum, and others in
need.
I'm happy...

Dad-tues. update by
Suz
Dad had the procedure Monday, his bile duct was totally blocked. They
unblocked it. It took him until 3am for the anestizia (I know baaad
spelling). Tuesday the removed his Gall Bladder using laproscopsy
(sp?). The Dr said things went very well. Thanks so much for all your
purrs.

Daddy goofed, Mama by
BfloPolska
The general rule is, first one up feeds the kids, except in those rare
occurrences when Roxie stands on my alarm clock because she likes to
watch things blink, then I get up with 15 minutes to get the train
downtown. And if we're not up in time, someone usually lets us know,
whether it be Stosh...

Daddy kort a burd by
Adrian A
I was sitting with the back door open, it's a beautiful sunny day, when a
fledgling starling flew in. It's lucky I was here, I think even Snoopy could
have caught it, she was interested. I caught very quickly and let go
outside, happily it wasn't harmed.

Daddy Tortured Her! by
CatNipped
I don't ever do anything to Sammy that she objects to. She's 18 pounds of
pure muscle and I'd prudently use a tranquilizer dart gun first.
But DH is braver than I.
He decided that Sammy was shedding too much so he got out the slicker brush.
He asked me to hold her while he brushed and I looked...

Daddy's Girl by
Karen AKA Kajikit
Silver is very much a Daddy's Girl. If John's home, she won't be far
from him - usually either placed stragically on his chest between his
face and the laptop, or sitting on the back of his chair when he's
told her to move her furry rear or else! Will she come to me and let
daddy work in peace? Of...

Daddy, that tickles! by
O J
Hi All,
My little Persian rescue, Roxie, does the cutest behavior. She must
be a little ticklish. When she does the behavior known as 'elevator
butt' as she's skritched on her back at the base of her tail, she adds
a little touch of her own. She'll point her face at the ceiling and
stick her...

daddy?... by
Jack Campin - bogus address
Marblecake has four four-week-old kittens. Like the previous lot,
none of them look like Splodge could be the father: Ollie (pale
ginger stripey male), Pip (tuxedo male), Polly (grey-and-white
stripey female with a regular red/white/black tabby head) and
Courtney (a bizarre in-between...

Dagnamit Jake by
Jo Firey
Our weather has changed dramatically in the last few days. Gone from the
high 90s to the low 60s almost overnight. With the wind that usually comes
with that kind of change. And enough rain to make it foul out.
We have been trying to keep Jake in mostly because we don't want to have to
go out...

Dainty Stretch by
jmcquown[_2_]
I have pet steps next to my bed. After Persia taps (or lays a paw on) my
nose to wake me up, when my eyes open she starts to purr. Loudly :) I get
some gentle kitty kisses/nips on my arm (and sometimes my chin) as I pet her
(and try to wake up). When I say okay, okay, momma up! she gets down...

Daisy RB by
HRFLTiger
Hi Folks,
Please could my gran and my 16 year old cat Daisy have some purrs? She
was sent to Rainbow Bridge this morning because her kidneys failed
over Xmas and her vet, Suzanne, suggested that it was time to let her
go. My gran had to do the difficult task, as she has been Daisys human
since...

Daisy's bloodwork is all good! :) by
Katz
One step down. Now we wait for the EKG on Tuesday. Thanks for the link
to the virtual tour. I saw the EKG. I understand that it depends what
kind of machine they have. Some use clips & don't shave. Some have to
shave.
