Deja-Vu All Over Again by Mare
There was a time when My little Kirby Puckett went through a similar experience that Mookie is now facing. We thought the blockage had been cleared, and she developed pancreatitis and didn't make it. To err on the side of caution, we brought Mookie to a bigger animal hospital so they could do...

Delicate question re kneading by Christina Websell[_2_]
Boyfriend has always kneaded when he gets on my knee, it seems essential to him before he can settle down. However, in the past few months his demeanour has changed whilst he's doing it. His ears went slightly back and a strange far-away look came into his eyes which were slightly slitted. I...

Delightful visitor by [email protected]
Just had a visit from a young slender kitty. Looked kind of like a Bengal with leopard spots. Very friendly and very vocal. I called to him and he came right over, talking all the way. I sat on the stoop and gave him some kitty treats, which he accepted enthusiastically. Then he went on his...

Deluge of cards! by Pat
Been too busy so far to send out my holiday cards, but they have sure been piling in, and it's a real treat! Makes me want to show them off, but nobody visits me! I'm thinking I'll get mine sent out by tomorrow at latest. Some will probably arrive after Christmas overseas.

delurking and intro by melizabeth
Hi all! I have been lurking here for about a week and posted to ac and apc my little girl. Her name is Willow aka Ms. Willow aka Ms. Thing. I adopted her from the vet when she was about 1 year old. She had a litter of kittens on the Vet Technician's porch back in Poughkeepsie which is how...

Demand purrs by Takayuki
Right now, Spicey is at my feet, under my desk, purring and staring at me with those incredibly large eyes, glowing from the shadows. I always used to think that purring was a sign of contentment. But with Spicey, it's practically the opposite - it's malcontent with the state of the food dishes....

Demanding little girl by Mark Edwards
Since RECENTLY becoming a lap cat, Apache makes a point of walking over now and then to make sure my legs are not crossed, JUST IN CASE she wants to climb up in my lap. If my legs are crossed or, heaven forbid, Little Boy is in my lap, she gives me an angry "MEOW!". After I am properly...

dementia in cats by Jack Campin - bogus address
Anyone here got any experience with senile dementia in a cat? Our Ishtar seems to have it. In the last few months, she's started having spells of meowing at nothing in the middle of the night - it's not about food and she's not in pain, stroking her will settle her but she'll just start up again...

Demi by CatNipped
As Bonbon said, Bandit and Demi are never thrilled with visitors. Bandit, AKA "Bit*h Cat From Hell", because she just hates everybody and everything and loves to grouse about what a terrible life she lives. She has been spoiled rotten ever since she barged into my house when she was six...

Demi Close-ups by CatNipped
The d-pet is outside enjoying the spectacular 15 minutes of autumn here in Houston, so Demi ventured out to sit on a windowsill and catch some sun - and I took the chance to catch some piccies of my gorgeous girl. Click on the pictures to see the full-sized...

Demi is Recovering by CatNipped[_2_]
She did wonderfully well - she didn't even need any extractions, they said her teeth looked great and they just needed a good cleaning. Phew! I'll pick her up at 5:30 today and I'm sure she'll be so relieved to be home. Thank you all for the purrs - they worked again! Hugs,

Demi's Boo-boo by CatNipped[_2_]
After spending upwards of $4,000 at the vet in the last 3 months, I was ready for a change in our luck - but fate has struck again! Sammy has been occasionally confronting Demi (our little scaredy cat) and will swat her when Demi crouches and yowls instead of running away. We keep everyone's...
