Bi-polar cat? (declawed) by Brian Link
I've been visiting Chloe, a six year old, spayed female moggie - recently transplanted to our house. She is very friendly, coming immediately to my lap and purring. When I pet her, she squirms happily, but will suddenly hiss or lash out. After a few seconds, she lets me pet her again. At first I...

Flushing Clumping Litter by [email protected]
I'm new to caring for cats. Can I scoop out the waste from a litter box filled with clumping litter, sift it and flush it? The only litter I'm flushing is that clinging to the waste. It seems I should be able to, bit I'm asking as my toilet seems to be clogging a bit from doing that. Thanks!

For a variety of reasons I would like to work our a feeding schedule so my cat would be unlikely to have to "go" during night (say midnight to sunrise). How long after eating/drinking do cats tend to have to "go"? Kiran

Kitty Cannon Game by Cat Protector
Someone forwarded me this game link and apparently we have another game that promotes the abuse of cats. The person who created this is obviously a sick minded individual. http://www.ebaumsworld.com/kittycannon.html Games like this should be shut down. -- Cat Galaxy: All Cats! All The...

Hello, all! I have a cat four years old with itchy skin. He goes to the vet regularly and gets cortisol shots for allergies. But his skin is still itchy, mostly the part in the place in front of his ears where the fur is thin. He has little bumps there that he scratches until they bleed. The vet...

Strange behavior! by Bonnie O
My nine year old, male cat does something rather odd once in awhile. He has a little stuffed animal that he will haul around the house (but we never see him doing it) and leave it in different rooms, then he will meow very loudly, kind of like a crying, mourning meow. When i go to see what the...

On August 4th I brought one of the cats at work, Harriet, to the vet because she was having trouble going to the bathroom. She would end up going outside the box, and her feces were very large. She had the same problem last year, May 2004. Last year she had been kept overnight at the vet, given...

It has been two months since my last post on this subject and some of that text describing the setup is repeated below. I just want to update that it has been five weeks since I last made a complete litter change and the box, liner, and litter look like what the old setup did after a week (I've...

Does a newly neutered male cat need to be kept separate by Lucrezia Borgia
from any unspayed females for any period of time post-neuter? I've heard that viable sperm may remain in the male's plumbing for a period of time and as a result, the cat should be maintained separate from a female in heat. (The female will be spayed as well. This is a timing question...
