kili will be back by
jmcquown
Her ISP isn't filtering any of the "spew" occurring here so she wanted me to
tell you she has unsubscribed for a while. She will be back; she loves this
group. I'll give you updates on Ms. Pua as they are given to me.
Peace,
Jill

Well they finally wised up by
Wendy
Just heard that Galveston is allowing people to take their pets with them on
the bus when they evacuate. It's about time they realized that people
shouldn't be forced to leave their pets if they want to evacuate themselves.

Sherry, d-pet? by
Cheryl
I accidently marked the group "caught up" before I could reply. Have
you put any more thought into adopting that gorgeous GS mix? I would
love to have a dog. Not a loud yippy one, but I love the big, gentle
dogs like the one you're eyeing is. :) How do you think Bootsie would
react?

More on Gypsy by
CatNipped
Erin finally got in touch with a person from the Iberia Humane Society where
Gypsy *WAS*. She found out that they had to evacuate because of Rita
(Iberia is right on the Gulf of Mexico)!!!! But they say that Gypsy is safe
and can be picked up after the storm passes.
They also gave her a number...

There Goes Rhymin' Simon (hiding cat) by
Norm
I picked up the 9yo Siamese male yesterday. It was not a good adventure
getting home but I'll leave the story for later. Simon will purr if
he's cornered but otherwise he's reluctant to be seen. His owner died
3weeks ago and he's been in a cage at the vets until yesterday.
The first mistake I...

OT - Rita's floodwaters by
Cheryl
The towns affected by Rita aren't as nearly in the public eye because
they aren't NO. They were still affected and flood waters took lives.
I will never understand the press and why some lives are more
important than others. And why some lives are more important only
when people make a stink about...

Shhhhhhhhhh by

Stinky's asleep on his daybed. That's really his throne, but he
hasn't taken a long nap on it since Dante's been here. Now I'm just
hoping Dante doesn't suddenly decide to bounce on him. ;)
BTW, my mother, who is really good at nicknames, came up with another
one for Dante today. She came in,...

What he looks like by
Kreisleriana
As I mentioned before, my camera is on the fritz. In the next couple
of days, I hope to pick up a disposable, just to get a few pics of him
up and on the web.
He's a little tuxedo fellow, with a lot of black. He has white paws
and a bib, a black face with a white chin and whiskers. But...

OT - Humor for today by
Magic Mood Jeep©
Three blondes are walking through the forest. They come upon some tracks.
The first blonde says "They're deer tracks."
The second blonde says "They're bear tracks."
The third blonde says "They're moose tracks."
Then a train hits them.

Goin' to the city by

Dennis is coming home from work on Friday evening. So I'm going to
head to Bangkok on Wednesday. Both my best friends are out of town,
one is skiing in New Zealand (lucky beotch!) and the other one is in a
wedding in LA (not so lucky!). But I'm taking over my friend Meghan's
really swanky...

The Mighty Huntress brings me her latest offering by
wafflycat
It's a young vole. Weaned, but tiny. It's the size of a seedless grape :) I
know this because I've just been holding it in my left hand whilst it drank
some juice from said seedless grape I held in with my right hand.
It is *seriously cute* :)
Cheers, helen s

Buster's new treat by
Mark Edwards
This morning, I was making waffles for breakfast. As I usually do, I
pour a little syrup on the plate, before putting a waffle on it.
Buster was on the upper part of the counter, watching me. Suddenly,
he jumps to the lower (working) counter, and starts sniffing Senyah'
plate.
I pick him up, tell...
