are my cats seniors? 10yr. by
yepp
they are 10 now and still act like they always did. Should I be
changing their food to seniors? They are not overweight or anything,
but is there anything special they need in their diets?

FWF TAG TEAM: PBC vs Enfilade by
Enfilade
I was going to do round 2, but this morning's fire alarm inspired
today's SPECIAL tag team match:
PBC (Pletsch-Blacquiere Clowder) vs yours truly....
*BELL RINGS. And keeps ringing. It's a fire alarm.*
RAGE IN THE CAGE! Can Fil get 4 cats into their carriers? She is home

You mustn't name them by
Enfilade
It's coming up on the bitties'....well, not adoption day.
Sucker-DP-Into-Being-Our-Mother Day is more like it. We never formally
adopted them.
After finding them in a pile of trash, at 3 weeks old, DP began
referring to them as "Dark Face" and "Light Face." Both are primarily
brown tabby, but...

Can I Freeze Gooshy Food? by
jmcquown
With Persia on a diet snork I've felt bad about depriving her of her
gooshy food. Hill's makes her prescription x/d in cans, too. I just opened
the last can I had and gave her half of it. Technically I should now only
give her 1/4 cup of dry this afternoon.
In old practice, before her bladder...

They know something is up..... by
Mischief
Tomorrow the cats and birdies go to the clinic with me where they will
be poked, prodded and boarded until next Monday.
I brought out the cardboard carrier and the other regular carrier and
put them in the living room. Mischief and Imp know something is up and
have immediately retreated. ...

Tales from a POV (Prisoner of Veterinarian) Day 1 by
Mischief
This is a secret message written in special cat code so my jailers will
not notice and confiscate this. I hope that if I do not make it out of
here, my journals can be used for future cats if they are ever in this
same situation
After a horrible night where we realized that we had been abandoned...

GW: Oh dear, Marble! by
wafflycat
Oh dear, oh dear!!
The striped fiend refused to come in last night. So this morning, as soon as
I got up & dressed, I went to the front door, opened it, and in he ran. He
ran at a great rate of knots past Waffles & Francis who headed out of the
front door, into the kitchen, stuck his head in a...

We're back and good news :-) by
badwilson
Just got home earlier today after going to Bangkok and Chiang Mai with
Dennis and some friends from back home. We had a great trip, great to
see friends again and of course great to see Dennis after his usual
month long work absence.
Our friends enjoyed their time here and definitely did their...

[OT] Biological Age by
CatNipped
LOL! I know I've always said I felt like a teenager (especially after
losing all the weight I have), but this is ridiculous! ;
After inputting my data I got:
Typical Life Expectancy - 77
Your Life Expectancy - 111 (well, my grandmother *did* live to be 104 and
with medical technology advancing...

This is an urgent message to all cats, in hope that maybe we can be

We were relaxing and going about our normal routine when suddenly we
were individually snatched up and stuffed into boxes. I...

Finally! her home is hers again by
Jane
I took the interlopers back to their mommy on saturday. Orca(t)
began investigating immediately, but Spot was (again) very
traumatized by the change. Fortunately, this should be his
last home for a good long while. Meanwhile, Princess Rita is
thrilled to have her place back to herself again! ...

feline genes by

Interesting short article in The Times today. Seems cats don't have the gene
that allows them to taste sweet foods.

Why are my cats so small? by
Christina Websell
I have read posts about cats on the group that are often 14 lbs up to in the
20's, particularly USA cats.
Compared with this, mine are miniscule. Boyfriend is around 7-8 pounds and
KFC is 4ish. They both have access to all the gooshy and dry food that they
might want and catch and eat der birdies...

5000+ messages and I'm back by
Sam Nash
Gone two weeks and what happens? A flood of messages. Many about a
situation with which I'm not familiar, so I'll refrain from comment. This
ain't the same RPCA I left! :(
There were far too many threads to reply to them individually so I'll just
say
1) "get better" purrs to those in need,

Trying out names by
Marina
I've been thinking about what to name little Leo. I don't want to keep
the name Leo, because I know one Leo who is a very unpleasant person. I
thought of changing it into Leonardo, but I don't want anyone thinking I
named him after DiCaprio! Leonardo and Miranda would go pretty well
together,...
