Hi, I am hoping someone here can give me some advice. We have 3 cats: Ozzie (male) who is now 4 years old, and FooFee and Lilly (females) who are 3 years old. Ozzie came to us when he was 4 weeks old, he was found wandering in the forest. He was starved, hard to say how long he had been...

My new kitten hates me by Paul M. Cook[_2_]
About 10 days ago a skinny little tabby kitten came running up to me like he knew me his whole life (8 months or so). He wanted to be friends so I took him in and he took to my place very quickly. My other 3 cats were pretty cool with it though my 2 year old female cat put him in his place...

Rapid breathing by JohnR66
Why would a cat have rapid breathing its entire life? I've known many cats over the years but this one has 2x breathing rate during normal activities and at rest for years. The only time I notice normal breathing rate is when the cat is in deep sleep. Breathing is never labored, just rapid. John

Signs of the Economic Times-Dumped Cats by Candace
I live in a middle-class neighborhood in central Phoenix. There have always been quite a few stray and/or feral cats around and some of my indoor cats have come to us this way. We have fed any stray cats around for years because I think being a stray cat is bad enough without being hungry all the...

Pica?: What should I ask the vet about? by -Lost
Pica?: What should I ask the vet about? I believe one of our cats has "Pica." He's slated to visit the vet's office tomorrow morning (Monday) as I've noticed he's been attempting to chew up DVD cases after knocking them from the bookshelf. If anyone has had any experience with this disorder...

Our 11 year old cat has arthritis in her knees and a bit in her spine. She has been doing very well on Cosequin and can still jump up on the bed and even runs a little sometimes but I can tell her knees bother her because she walks with her hind feet a little forward, hunching her spine. Even our...

Great toy! by Phil P.
Its called "Peek-a-Prize". Instead of putting the balls it comes with inside, I throw some treats inside. Sly keeps patting and pushing the treats with his paws one at time until he gets all of them out- no matter how long it takes. He doesn't lose interest until he gets all the treats out. ...

I have a 10 y/o cat that developed calcium oxalate stones five years ago. He refuses to eat canned/wet food and has always been like that. I had a terrible time trying to wean him when he was a kitten. He was the only one of the litter who wouldn't eat the kitten food. In fact, at one point he...
