litter crystals and leaky liners? by
Jennyanniedots
Hi all,
I just started using the litter crystals, and am looking for some
advice. While I am loving them overall, I've noticed a strange thing
happening which never used to happen with my previous litter. (Which
is Feline Pine.)
Satellite pees in the same spot in the box all the time. While I...

litter containment by

Okay, I'm hoping some of you creative cat owners have come up with a
solution to the inevitable litter trail that seems to surround any litter
box. I have a large Booda brand covered litter box, outside of which I've
put two large carpet samples and one of those rubber litter catching pads.
There...

Litter box too small? by
[email protected]
I was wondering why the cat wasn't burying her waste.
This morning I saw what was happening. After she goes, she makes all
the motions of burying, but she does it on the rim of the litterbox.
She sat there for five minutes trying to "bury" her waste by clawing,
scooping, and scratching the...

Litter box stuff by
John Doe
Still using Sterilite boxes for litter boxes. Using the kind with
clear and shiny smooth sides, apparently they never get dirty (or if
they do, they don't stay dirty). Also using Arm & Hammer Essentials
Natural cat litter. It doesn't clump very well, but it's light and
genuinely dust free.
One...

Litter box question by
Just a guy and his cat
Hi all. Sorry to be a pest but i have another newbie question. I use a
plastic liner in George's litterbox and I can change and clean the
litter box and refill it and within a day the litter liner is full of
holes from the cat scratching it. Is this something normal that you
folks deal with and...

Litter box question by
[email protected]
Hi group,
KitKat currently has a liner in his litter box but he rips it to
shreds. I was thinking of skipping it next time I change out his box.
Any thoughts?
Also, how often should I change out all the litter in the box?
Thanks

Litter Box problems -- advise desperately needed. by
Owen Coughlan
My cat is 17 years old. He has had his fair share of adventures, but is
still in remarkably good health.
However, over the last year he has developed an odd aversion to the litter
box: he steps in just far enough to get all four paws in the litter, then
takes a leak, then exits.
Problem is,...

litter box problems by

I have a 12-year-old indoor-outdoor cat. For the last several months, he
has not been using his litterbox regularly; goes on floor in basement
usually. But this morning, he went no.1 on the living room carpet. I know
a trip to the vet is in order, but I'd like to solve the problem without...

litter box problems by
Tony Tung
Hello,
My wife and I recently adopted a pair of kittens from a local shelter.
One of them (female, 2 mo) uses the litter box perfectly. The other one
(male, 3 mo) does know to use the litter box in that he does go to the
litter box. He digs, but he forgets to turn around. This often results
in...

I recently took in a homeless cat that someone dumped near my home.
He's relatively young, probably less then 2 years Im told. I had him
fixed and checked out by a local vet. He's in good health. My problem
is, when he uses the litter box, which he does several times a day, it
stenches up my whole...

litter box issues by
meee
I was just wondering if there is any way to train a cat to cover her
'deposits'? Most of my cats have great litterbox manners, but every so often
i would find one uncovered. I finally found the culprit yesterday; Cougar!!
She doesn't even sniff, just gets up and leaves. Any ideas??? It's...

Litter box in unsuitable place.... by
Debbie[_4_]
We have a litter box behind our wet bar. Cats were previously
relieving themselves back there, so we put the litter box
there. However, this is a tight space, hard for us to get to to clean
it, etc. How can we get them to stop going back there? We've tried
gradually moving the box, but they...

Litter box help needed please by
kraut
Am not asking for the usual type of help to get a cat to use it but to
leave it alone!!
Ever since I got him he has had a fixation for litter boxes. When he
was small (Like 9 / 10 weeks) he used to lay in it, play in it, ETC.
He would get chasing his tail and litter would go everywhere!!
Now at...

Litter Box Help by

I have two cats but I'm having problems with one and it's been lasting
awhile now. The one cat will urinate in the litterbox but won't
defecate in it. He'll just go near it. So far I've tried:
1) adding extra litter boxes
2) using a covered litter box
3) moving the location of the litter box
4)...

Litter Box Digging? by
Edgar
I just adopted my first kitty. I'm not sure how old she is but I do
know that she is young. I was wondering if digging in the cat litter is
normal? She has been digging in the litter box like she is looking for
something. I've had her for only a week and she just started (or at
least I just...

Litter Box Blues by

We have three litter boxes. They all seem to want to use the same one. So
one day the bathroom box is the box du jour a few days later it could be the
kitchen box or the laundry room box. So scooping is done and done and done
to keep the box clean while they ignore two perfectly clean,...

litter box area by

At the local Borg (the megastore), you might find large gray plastic
grass doormats for about $10 USD each. So far, I have seven of them.
After about two months of use, really enjoying them for our two litter
box areas. They keep the litter off of your cat's feet and they are
easy to shake out...

litter box ambushing by

I'm new to the group, and have a question about litter box

my current residence about a year ago, one of the cats started
ambushing the other whenever she uses the kitty box. Poor thing
has to wait for me to get home so I can keep the other...
