Baby scores a lizard by
dgk
Baby, my fairly feral girl, was sitting on the night table as she
often does in the morning, watching stuff outside and wishing she
could be out there. Suddenly I heard a peculiar yip sound, I looked at
her, and she was staring up the wall at a small lizard maybe 8' up. It
was too high for me to...

Anyone know what happened to Mike? by
jmcquown[_2_]
Mike Mayers. He was an elderly gent who adopted a cat named Cotton. He
was a fairly new member to RPCA and he had suffered some "mini-strokes"
and was hospitalized for a time. I was wondering if he's okay or maybe
went to join the Facebook group. Anyone know?

Meowy Kiss a Mouse by
Rusty[_2_]
It is December already.
So it shouldn't be too early to wish everyone here a
Meowy Kiss a Mouse.
I am having a good time here in RB.
Meowmie just got invited by the "Feline Quartet" living right next door over
for Christmas Eve.

Today is Nikki's annifursary by
MaryL[_2_]
I adopted Nikki on Dec. 7, 2013. She had been rescued by the president
of the local chapter of Alley Cats Allies from the Walmart parking lot.
She was 14-16 weeks of age at the time. They had her vetted and spayed,
and I adopted her a few days later. The timing was so fast that she did
not...

Pardon Me, Sir - There's A Bug On The Ceiling! by
John Kasupski
Today, my six-month old tabby Minnie jumped up on the back of my computer chair,
sat down directly behind my head, and put one of her paws in the middle of my
back about six inches below my neck. She extended a single tiny claw - not
enough to hurt...just barely enough to make me turn around and...

I do NOT spoil my cats! by
Joy[_3_]
This afternoon I decided that I should wash the sheets on my bed.
However, when I went in to strip the bed, I saw that my cats were on it.
I decided to wait a while. Every time I look, one or both of the cats
are on the bed. I still haven't stripped it to wash the bedding.
That does NOT...

Cat "TV" by
jmcquown[_2_]
Buffy has gotten more interested in watching the birds on my patio.
(For a while she paid no attention to them.)
For some reason the northern bluebirds have been having a party today in
the birdbath on my patio.

Get your latest Marlo update here... by

Marlo has been going out on the patio at Mom's house lately. When I
first took her off the street (10 years ago), she wouldn't leave the
house even when the other cats went into the (fenced in) backyard. She
liked it inside altough she did finally start going out. But Mom has
this big screened...

Motley (RB) by
[email protected]
Motley is gone. She was a petite (seven pound) tortie, the last of our
rescue cats. She was half feral and wasn't much of a companion but she
was decorative and she knew it. Her age was indeterminate. If I had to
say, I'd guess ten years. Suddenly this morning she became lethargic,
wouldn't move...

Spirit (RB) by
Lesley Madigan
She was only 2 in August
Being FIV+ she'd always been small and somewhat delicate. She stopped growing at about 6 months.
And losing Dave whom she doted on she was pretty low for a while her stress overgrooming as a result left her almost bald but thanks to the spray Jill recommended that...

Dataw's Feral Cats are Fine by
jmcquown[_2_]
Feral cats are apparently very resourceful little creatures!
DIFF (Dataw Island Feline Foundation) volunteers made sure there was
plenty of food and water at the feeding stations before the evacuation
order due to Hurricane Matthew locked down the island.
I inquired last night on the Dataw Net,...
