The Whisker Jar by Julie Cook
I was asked about my whisker jar recently. I keep cat whiskers because I very rarely find them and consider it a good omen when I do. I seem to remember that several of us here keep whiskers when we find them. When I started this however, the question was what to keep them in. I live just...

currency conversion questions by [email protected]
I know the answers to these questions are temporary since these things change so often, but it should give me a ballpark, anyway. Could someone tell me what 8.00 UK pounds is in US dollars? Also, how does 5.99 EUR translate to American dollars? Thanks! Joyce (trying to buy something that seem...

Wet Kitten Alert! by [email protected]
Well, kittens are kittens, you know, which means they are sometimes a bit lacking in the smarts department. Kate and Jack, in addition to the above, are also fascinated with water. They're in the tub, the sink, back to the tub, back to the sink. They get water all over their little paws and...

Clumping Litter - NOT by Bill Stock
We started to have trouble with one of the Litter Boxes not clumping, all the litter was damp. So we took it out of service for a cleaning and now one of the other boxes seems to be showing the same symptoms. So is it the Litter or does one of the cats have very acidic urine?

I think I've created a monster by Sandy
....or maybe two. I never used to give the cats treats, mostly because Sundance's delicate digestive system is easily upset by new foods. However, someone gave me a bag of cat treats for Christmas, so I've been handing them out occasionally. The other day was the first day I actually called both...

[OT] an avian visitor by John F. Eldredge
I went for my first physical therapy session today (the therapist diagnosed neck cramp brought on by years of bad posture, and will be training me in a series of exercises to correct the problem as much as possible). Cruising Cats: March 12 by Annie Wxill
Sunday, March 12, 2006 We stayed at the dock in Port Aransas because of blustery wind and took advantage of the day to sort through and get rid of some of the stuff we had brought onboard. Why would a retired couple and two cats living on a boat need five or six dustpans? The cats spent the day...
