OT $5.37 by Matthew[_3_]
$5.37! That's what the kid behind the counter at Taco Bell said to me. I dug into my pocket and pulled out some lint and two dimes and something that used to be a Jolly Rancher. Having already handed the kid a five-spot, I started to head back out to the truck to grab some change when the kid with...

Another copy-cat by [email protected]
I love how cats imitate the positions of those (other felines, humans, dogs, whomever) around them: http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2009/01/cat-and-baby.html -- Joyce ^..^ (To email me, remove the X's from my user name.)

(OT) Thanks for the Purrs and Prayers by Fi
Hi all, I just returned from the hospital - my husband Carl passed away this morning. For the past few days he's been visited by every friend who could get in to see him and there was as much laughter as tears. If there is a good way to leave, this was it. I want to thank everyone for their purrs...

Why are my cats so small? by Christina Websell
I have read posts about cats on the group that are often 14 lbs up to in the 20's, particularly USA cats. Compared with this, mine are miniscule. Boyfriend is around 7-8 pounds and KFC is 4ish. They both have access to all the gooshy and dry food that they might want and catch and eat der birdies...

New family member - Part 4 by EvelynVogtGamble(Divamanque)
Okay, I'm in a quandary. When I adopted my neighbor's abandoned, declawed cat, I assumed anyone who'd pay for a declawing would certainly have had the animal neutered. Now I'm not so sure. My new little girl has begun behaving suspiciously like a female cat in heat! Last night she began yowling...

HELP: Friend in Taiwan needs help with tiny stray kitten by Susan M
Hi all: A friend of mine has rescued a tiny stray kitten - only 3 or 4 weeks. She has three concerns: feeding, worming, and constipation. If any of you have any insight, I'd appreciate it! I'll also call the TED late tomorrow and see what he says. We are travelling and out of town until then. ...

"Manna" Recipe Needed - Ping Jill (and all other cooks) by CatNipped[_3_]
Quick, somebody start a flame war - it's urgent, I need a recipe! ; My ex Monster-In-Law had only one good thing going for her - she cooked, and baked, from scratch, anything she put on her table. I'd gotten most of recipes and techniques early on in the marriage, but one this one that I'm...

Lester - Thursday Update by Arthur Shapiro
Appreciate all the concern, folks...this is a fairly serious sickness. Got to the vet last night with little trouble, somewhat surprisingly, and received lessons on tube-feeding. Got him home by about 7 pm. He was fairly teetery, but staggered to his favorite coverered litter box, got...

RIP Grandcat by Sherry
Orion had to be PTS. About a year and a half ago he was diagnosed with vaccination-associated sarcoma cancer. He received chemo, which slowed down the progression but unfortunately it continued to spread. The last year he seemed largely unaffected (except for the appearance of a large lump on his...

Chipping my Cats by Fat Freddy
Our three cats go in and out as the please, and even though we live in a fairly safe, cat friendly environment, if they don't come home every day, I get worried. They all wear collars with tags, but they loose them often. Last week, Smokey was gone for a couple of days. On the third day I went to...

Again with the Great Grey Hunter by Jill McQuown
I don't know about you, but down here in the mid-South I have these really disgusting crickets that always appear in my outdoor storage room on the patio every summer. They aren't regular crickets. They are pale brown and have extra long "jumping legs" and they can truly jump about 6 feet :) One...

I have discovered by Granby
I have discovered that putting someone in KF does no good, they just keep showing on other posts of people I read. I just wish we could drop some of the stuff and move on back to our "family" type caring. Yeah, I know old lady wants harmony and life isn't like that.

Ring tone that's silent to adults? by Cheryl
I don't get it. Are kids like dogs? LOL It's all over the news that there is a frequency that kids can hear and most adults cannot. It was said that when it was discovered, the tone was used in a store somewhere in Europe that had a teen population that the proprietors didn't want loitering, so...
