Sheba new food by Cheryl[_3_]
To whoever posted about the new Sheba, I thought you'd be interested. I got a sample can in the mail today and my cats loved it. It doesn't look anything like the old Sheba and indeed is in a metal can the size of a Fancy Feast can. I guess I have another food I can add to what they will eat....

[Totally OT] Roku woes by [email protected]
Anyone out there have a Roku? I apologize if this is US-centric, I don't know if Roku is sold outside this country. I just bought one, and last night I set it up. It's the low-end one for regular, non-HD TV. Before I made the purchase, I checked the FAQ on their site to make sure I would be able...

Hoping to get home by Dan M
The folks I drive for are normally really good about drivers home for scheduled home time. They make a special point of doing so for Christmas. Right now, though, it's looking kind of iffy. I'm in Salt Lake City at the company terminal, on a load that delivers just south of Chicago on Tuesday. My...

(OT) Thanks for the Purrs and Prayers by Fi
Hi all, I just returned from the hospital - my husband Carl passed away this morning. For the past few days he's been visited by every friend who could get in to see him and there was as much laughter as tears. If there is a good way to leave, this was it. I want to thank everyone for their purrs...

Party by [email protected]
I always underestimate how long it takes to get the apartment clean, and I always overestimate how much food to get (but that's okay, since we can eat off party food for a week!). And I always hope more folks will come than actually show up. But with all that, it was a lovely party. A very...

The best cat game ever by JP Hobbs
Good game O J, when I go into the bedroom at night ready for bed Wilson beats me in ready for a game, he crouches down on the bed, bottom wiggling chin tucked in, Ihave to toss toys to him, but they have to go upright over his head and over the other side so he has to jump high for them, if they...

'Starving' cat by ~~Tabbi~~
Hello cat-fans! Got a story for you about a stray cat. There was a grey tabby/white cat who would sneak in our cat-door after we went to bed to eat the left over cat food and munch on the cat biscuits. I would try and sneak back and catch a glimpse of him but he would always get away before I...

Sleepy cat by Dan Mahoney
My brother's elderly Siamese kitty Samantha has always been fond of sleeping, and it's not unusual for her to stay in bed for 12 hours at a time. But yesterday and today things hit a new peak. Yesterday Samantha spent all day sleeping on the front porch. This morning the county animal control guy...

Goodbye sweet Tiger by Nanny[_4_]
You came to me years ago as a stray and I've never known your age. When you became a renal patient 6 years ago and got cat flu at the same time you almost died, but got a next life and did very well to everyone's surprise. But then you got cancer and that can't be solved with pills and diet...

Again with the Great Grey Hunter by Jill McQuown
I don't know about you, but down here in the mid-South I have these really disgusting crickets that always appear in my outdoor storage room on the patio every summer. They aren't regular crickets. They are pale brown and have extra long "jumping legs" and they can truly jump about 6 feet :) One...

Luna and Maya are famous!!! by Victor Martinez
I just received the November issue of Catnip magazine (it's edited by the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine). Guess who's on the cover? Luna and Maya, cuddling together in their high-rise bed from when we lived in the condo. The guy who wrote the article posted a message to one of the...

D*g Question by CatNipped[_3_]
This might be controversial, but I trust this group to not start a flame war over it. This is a legitimate question, not fodder to start a fight. For those who want/have d*gs as well as cats... Would you adopt a pitbull puppy to live with your cats? I won't even ask about an adult d*g. But...

We're home :-) by badwilson
Well, Dennis and I are back home in Thailand. We got in to Bangkok late on Tuesday, so we spent the night with my friend Elsa, then drove home yesterday morning. Vino was soooo happy to see us, he purred non stop all day! He was very impressed with the new litterbox we brought him from Canada...

Big panic, need calming purrs by Christina Websell
I was reading the group just now when I heard awful screaming just outside in the garden, like a cat fight but more so. I rushed outside and shouted but they didn't stop fighting. I didn't think to get a torch first, it's completely black dark here which doesn't help because I can't see in...
