Herpes in Cat's Eye Question by
CatNipped
Pardon if this is a stupid question (also pardon, but this is crossposted
for the most coverage - I really need info on this), but.....
How contagious is herpes in a cat's eye? What degree of contact would it
take to pass this from one cat to another? Is this virus the same as or
related to the...

Female cat seems weird? by
[email protected]
Hello cat lovers,
I brought my female cat into the house several weeks ago as she was
swollen a bunch. It looked like she was going to have kittens at any
time. Several weeks have passed and she has no kittens that I can
find. She still seems slightly swollen however. Now my two Tomcats...

is cat really pregnant? by
Calvin Rice
This is about the cat in the thread, 'fearful mother-to-be'.
I'm beginning to wonder if the cat really is pregnant. She
has been in a bedroom for 8 days now, and I still haven't
seen her walking around; so I can't see whether her belly
pokes out like a pregnant cat's or not. The 'owners'
assured...

feeding adult cat kitten food by
Yngver
We have moved from free feeding to feeding strict portion sizes twice a day to
our two overweight cats, and they are slowing losing weight (very slowly, like
an ounce a week) but unfortunately our third cat, who has never been overweight
and refuses to eat at set times during the day, has lost a...

Good cat dirt? by
Michael
I have a problem. Two outdoor cats, one that never really adjusted to
a litterbox. I live in a duplex, and they like my neighbors garden.
Is there something I could do to make a 4 ft by 5 ft plot of dirt
attractive to these little guys?
I was thinking of a couple of things, dunno how to go...

problems with jumping by
Rona Yuthasastrakosol
My cat doesn't have problems with jumping a couple of feet, but I've noticed
that she has never jumped higher than a couple of feet. I often read about
people who suffer with their cats jumping on counters, but I have never had
that problem. She has been to the vet and the vet does not see any...

Declawing mentioned in movie "Elf" by
KellyH
Hi everyone,
I just got back from seeing the movie Elf. The movie was great, the story
is really cute, and I would recommend the movie for kids and adults.
However, there was a statement in the movie that stuck out like a sore
thumb. When Will Farrell first comes in to his dad's office, the...

Declawed cat vs. Non-declawed cat. Should I worry? by

Declawed cat vs. Non-declawed cat. Should I worry?
Let me first say, yes, I feel animals have feelings. Most people
like to run their mouth about me worrying too much about my critters
and I have decided I can look way beyond that, considering YOU cat
people are nicer although much more...

Norwegian Wood Cat's by
ensoul[_2_]
I posted here before about Moe & Rudy having long coats and excessive
shedding. My daughter got a book from library on cat breeds, she
showed it to me and said that's what there are mom.
I was very doubtful but did some research at the library & online.
They clearly are part Norwegian Wood Cat's,...

Broken-hearted cat (long) by
Rhonda
3 years ago Walter (sig.other) trapped 3 kittens where he works. They
had not been handled by humans until then. The vet said they were about
10 wks old.
We had all of them for 3 weeks as they got their shots, worming, etc. We
worked for hours to socialize them, and had good luck. The orange...

Does the second-guessing eventually fade away? by
DaniellaY
Thank you everyone for your words of sympathy and comfort.
This is the first time I've lost an animal (except a childhood dog) and also
had to make the decision to end a life. It almost seemed easier to me in the
first 24 hours. Now I somtimes find myself second guessing. Living with...

We've just moved, well end of Nov and our cat is constantly fighting, no

stopped by now but she continues to go round there and give the other cat a
good clawing. I'm getting tho the stage where I don't want to let her out

Disinfectant needed by
KellyH
Hi,
The shelter I volunteer for has recently had an outbreak of URI, and since
then has gotten very over-zealous (IMHO) about cleaning and trying to
prevent it.
My issue is that I hate chlorine bleach, and the fumes make me gag. Can't
be too pleasant for the cats, either. We have two cleaning...
