Kitten has brown stuff coming from eye. by lucy707 via CatKB.com
I'm kind of worried about my two month old kitten. She has this brown liquid stuff coming from her right eye. I have seen other cats with stuff around their eyes, but this is like a liquid. If I wipe it with toilet paper, it looks brown. I really don't know how else to describe it. The woman we...

My cat stands on me when I sleep. by lucy707 via CatKB.com
When I go to sleep, sometimes I'll wake up and my cat will be standing over me. If I sleep on my side, she stands on my arm. If I sleep on my back, she'll be on my chest. Kind of like "standing guard". I don't know why she would do this. I've had her for almost a week now. (she's 8 weeks old)....

My kitten likes to perch on my shoulder. by lucy707 via CatKB.com
My two month old little girl has taken to climbing up on my shoulder and sitting there. When I'm sitting I don't mind, it's when I need to move that's the problem. If I try to stand up, she'll move to my upper back, and most of the time she ends up sliding off. I'm worried that she might get hurt,...

Wondering if certain foods are okay for cats. by lucy707 via CatKB.com
Hi. I was just wondering if there are any safe fruits or veggies that I could feed to my cat. Everytime I eat she begs for food, and of course I don't give her any, but I still feel bad and I was wondering if there's anything that I could give her as a treat once in a while so she doesn't fell like...

Unusual Kitten Behavior by lucy707 via CatKB.com
I have a tabby kitten who will be 11 weeks old this saturday. Before she goes to sleep, she'll try to nurse on this blanket that I have on my bed. You know, she'll knead it with her paws and.. suckle on it. It kind of freaks me out. I know it shouldn't but still. I wonder why would she be doing...

My kitten won't stop biting by lucy707 via CatKB.com
She is a 13 week old tabby and it seems no matter what I do she won't stop attacking everybody. Sometimes I'll pet her, and she'll get all crazy and start biting hard and wrapping her arms around my hand and doing that little bunny kick with her back feet. I try not to pull away, because that makes...

Advice pls: what to send my friend's cat who died by Lucy[_3_]
That is an excellent way to describe making a donation to honor them. My vet has always done this for me when I lost a cat and it meant so much to me. Julie Stormmee wrote: the family will know when it is time for another friend to love, there is in fact no replacing as such, and as to the...

Bengals and Heart related issues by Ludwig via CatKB.com
Just had my 6 1/2 month old Bengal's heart Echoed, my vet said he has a somewhat enlarged septum, is this normal in the Bengal breed? We are going to watch him over next month or so, she said he could have the early stages of hydrotrophic cardiomythopy if this is not normal for the breed to have...

hyperactive thyroid by lulu
Hi all! My 15 year old cat has been diagnised with hyper (overactive) thyroid. She has been taking "methimazole" pills to control this problem. The vet has told me about radiation treatment, and some people have told me that the radiation treatment is the better option, even if my cat has no...
