Calming for Clipping by raenee
I don't really need help with this for my cat, but for a friends cat. She lets her cat's claws grow out really long and avoids clipping them because "it's too much hassle". I've seen her try to clip her cat's claws. She takes a towel and wraps the cut up like a soft taco with the paws sticking out....

Update on Rutherford the Brave, and a new upcoming situation by jimmy the LD
Hello all that helped me once on this newsgroup with a certain kitty enjoying a pee on the floor a day... He's had his litterbox moved, and he never peed there again. I recently went away on a business trip (about 8 days) and Rutherford was being looked in on once a day; when I returned home, he...

Snot Nosed Kitten by guynoir
After two rounds of Clavimox plus daily doses of l-lysene for a month, the orange kitten is still wheezing and dribbling snot. Some days more than others, but I usually find a huge dried out snot pancake stuck to his nose when I come home in the evening. The vet (the most strikingly gorgeous woman...

Older Cat, New Kitten by [email protected]
Hi folks, Newbie here. I have a beloved older male cat, Dickson, who's about 12. He's been on his own for about 3 years, since his mother died. My girlfriend really wants to get a new kitten. We live in a large loft, but there's really only one logical place for the existance of litter boxes...

My Cat Comes Home by The Eagle
I want to thank everyone for their best wishes regarding my cat. His blood work came back with normal readings, and he is being treated for an infection with an antibiotic (amoxicillin). The doctor believes it is a respiratory infection. He was also prescribed an appetite stimulant, but he began...

Post-fix behavior by Zathras
I took Hana & Sachi to the vet on Tuesday morning to get fixed. Sachi came home at 5pm the same day. I brought Hana back this (Wednesday) evening. Sachi was initially acting fine, but then he got a little too friendly. He was obsessively licking Hana's genitalia -- Hana would start walking...

More blame the cat... by KellyH
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6939362/ Sorry I didn't quote the text, it was hard to grab with all the graphics. Why does the headline have to say "Cat Box Infection"? I'm guessing the woman got it from the undercooked eggs. This issue really gets to me, as a pregnant woman with 6 cats. --

How to increase muscle & fat in kitten? by Nell
Hello, I wonder if anyone in this group would be so kind as to give me some advice with regard to increasing muscle and fat in one of my kittens. I have four of them and they are all about five months old (same mother). The last one to be born remains clearly "boney" and "skinny" in comparison to...

keeps a very close eye on you when you clean the litterbox? My friends who have cats think I'm nuts but my cat is always right under me when I'm scooping the litter. Anyone else see this at all?

Gentle, Docile, Calm Breed (s)? by Slimpickins
Hello, I haven't posted here in years, but when I did, it was usually seeking good advice ( and I certainly got lots) regarding my dear elderly cat, Blue. I'm very sad to say that Blue died just several weeks ago, on Nov. 20th-04, of a massive stroke, which was due to his recent health spiral...

freeze dried chicken treats by Elizabeth Blake
A couple of months ago I was ordering a prescription online from drugstore.com, and checked out their pet supplies. They had a package of freeze dried chicken treats made by Three Dog Bakery (I think) so I ordered them. Harriet went insane over them. After her first taste, those treats were the...

Digging? by Dave
One of my cats has just recently (within the past 8-12 hours) taken up digging. She's tried to dig up the bathtub, the front door, the door to the basement, and the bathroom sink so far. As I write this she has just finished a 10-15 minute tub digging tour, and she is now stretched out in the tub...
