Question on feedint a cat to avoid cystitis by
jmc
I was just wondering...
Which would be worse for a cystitis kitty:
1) A diet of 100% wet cat food that is not grain-free or
2) A diet of high-quality, animal protein based, grain-free dry food?
Had someone tell me the other day that it's the grains that are more
important to keep out of my...

Jail Inmates Help Run County's Animal Shelter in Florida by
FirstHit
I thought the following story was interesting. It sounds like a
wonderful deal for the inmates. They get some contact with animals
and might learn something. So long as they do no harm to the animals
(or people), it sounds like a positive thing.

cat diarrhea by
Lol
We have one cat (adopted stray) that ranges free out of doors - had a bad
case of worms, so treated with worm pills.
A few days later, one of our other cats, indoors only, has started a bout of
diarrhea.
Are these things related?
Thanks,
Lol

One cat put down and the one left behind is suffering by
June[_2_]
I always thought cats had short memories about other cats; sort of nature's
way of handling life for them. I had to have one of my cats put down to
stop the suffering. I still have another cat inside who is missing the
first cat. It's only been a week but it he knows things aren't right. ...

My cat doesn't like me drinking coffee!? by
Netmask[_2_]
When I finish drinking my coffee (very strong Italian black with no milk
or sugar) he wants to "bury" the cup with the typical scratching ritual.
In fact any plate that has had food on it but especially coffee....
Any thoughts? BTW my doctor is not the least concerned at my coffee
intake...

One eye darker than the other? by

There's nothing actually *wrong* with Meep's eyes, at her last physical

curious thing:
One eye appears darker than the other in certain light (always the same
eye) - is it possible for the tapus luteum (sp? the reflective bit...

Chilled canned food ok to serve to cats by
Rick Ulrich[_2_]
Hi.
What is everyone's opinion on giving canned food out of the refrigerator?
Does it have to be at room temperature? My three cats eat it chilled and at
room temperature. I do this because I don't give them a full tin of food and
have to store in frig until next serving.
Thanks Rick
