Cat in respiratory distress by Clare
Hi, all, I've been lurking on this group for a while, and now I'm hoping you can help. Lilli, my very sweet 14 year old calico, is breathing very rapidly and is clearly uncomfortable. I have been to the vet--in fact, I've spoken with all three vets at the practice--we've done an ultrasound, which...

Pathetic People by GAUBSTER2
From: "Mary" I'm gonna have to catch up on my reading hereabouts; it seems I've missed even more obsessive musing on the life of Laura by the resident pathetics. I guess they're getting Internet access at the group home these days. :-) Laura I wouldn't...

easing breathing difficulty cat flu by sara
I am treating a young cat which has had cat flu since birth and was lucky to survive. I gave her a course of Synulox antibiotic and it did seem to help but later she possibly got re-infected by another older wild cat who is a less serious case. Second course of Synulox did not seem to work. I now...

Meditating With Your Cat by Cat Protector
Does anyone here meditate and then end up having their cat interrupting it? I know both my cats like to do this but of course the positive energy may be why they want to hang around. -- Panther TEK: Staying On Top Of All Your Computer Needs! www.members.cox.net/catprotector/panthertek Cat Galaxy:...

At least 40 felines have been mutilated in the Denver metropolitan area in the last year – four of them over the weekend – and the 11th murdered pet in Salt Lake City was discovered Tuesday at a country club. Many of the pets have been cut in half, beheaded or disemboweled. Some have had their...

2 K9 Teeth same spot? by soft
I called my vet and she is on vacation untill Tuesday. I am hoping someone else may have seen this. Sir Lancellot has 2 K9 teeth on the top right side - I am guessing one is a baby tooth that has not fallen out - neither is loose nor does it seem to bother him - it is not swollen or red. It...

Damn, Nipsy killed a bird by dgk
I let the boys out into the backyard after getting home. A couple of minutes later Nipsy comes running in with a bird in his mouth. A little sparrow. I never thought he could actually catch one. It wasn't even dead when I saw that he had it but it wasn't going to be getting better. Then he finished...

Serious question about my LATE cat!!?? by Slickwater
So my cat was about 20 years old and the thing looked like it was in agony. I have been walkin reported to be walking sideways lately and loosing a ton of hair. Upon inspecting the clumps of hair that were falling out, I saw that they were due to these red lesions on the cats back. For fear of some...

My grandparents have a male, neutered cat that is about 5 years old. He had a stroke a couple years ago and never fully recovered so he stays indoors. This cat has gained so much weight and now weighs 25 pounds. My grandmother finally took him to the vet and the vet put him on one of the Hill's dry...

Cat with liver problems by Angela
Ugh, don't you just hate when you take your cat to the vet only to find that she has a totally unrelated problem??? She has elevated liver values. We are waiting in limbo to find out what is going to happen with her. She also turned out to have elevated thyroid values so she's on tapazole. Since...

Euthanizing a dog by [email protected]
I know this is a cat group, but I don't want to join another ng. We have a 13-year-old cocker. He's been a good dog, but can no longer hold his bodily functions. We have him gated in the laundry room (it's 1st floor, sunny...not dreary basement) because he pees and poops on the carpet if he has...
