Sheba new food by Cheryl[_3_]
To whoever posted about the new Sheba, I thought you'd be interested. I got a sample can in the mail today and my cats loved it. It doesn't look anything like the old Sheba and indeed is in a metal can the size of a Fancy Feast can. I guess I have another food I can add to what they will eat....

[Totally OT] Roku woes by [email protected]
Anyone out there have a Roku? I apologize if this is US-centric, I don't know if Roku is sold outside this country. I just bought one, and last night I set it up. It's the low-end one for regular, non-HD TV. Before I made the purchase, I checked the FAQ on their site to make sure I would be able...

Persia RB 8/8/2014 by jmcquown[_2_]
It was as I feared. Her kidneys were too far gone. So I made the painful decision; Persia went to the bridge this afternoon. The vet gave me a little heart shaped stone "memory box" with some of her fur in it. She will be cremated and her ashes returned to me. Heartfelt thanks to all of you...

See if you can get out of the Crimson Room (or is it the rubber room, lol) I am still trying! http://www.fasco-csc.com/works/crimson/crimson_e.php -- Dogs may shed, but cats shred.

Fez and Rufous are officially adopted! by Victor M. Martinez
I was running errands and decided to stop at the humane society and formalize our adoption of the boys. They were checking in a momma cat with 3 (or 4?) kittens, about 3 weeks old. Somebody dumped them at the pound, where they would've been euthanized, but the folks at the SPCA go there twice a...

This will work, I just know it! (somewhat OT) by Pat
Without time to go deeply into details or even an outline, I ask for good thought-energy and purrs sent this way for me and my owners to be able to get a good home together in the near future. Help, help, HELP!?! I know things can go in any direction but with you all pulling & purring for us,...

Sort of looking for a new cat by Cheryl
I know it is soon, and Bonnie and Shamrock haven't been retested for FeLV yet, but I've been browsing Petfinder. The first kitty looks just like Marley (RB for over 2 years) but Marley was short-haired. The second has a really sad story. PJ needs socializing, but I've done that with Bonnie da wild...

(OT) Thanks for the Purrs and Prayers by Fi
Hi all, I just returned from the hospital - my husband Carl passed away this morning. For the past few days he's been visited by every friend who could get in to see him and there was as much laughter as tears. If there is a good way to leave, this was it. I want to thank everyone for their purrs...

Purrs for Mom, Please by CatNipped
My mom is having a lot of trouble coping with the aftermath of Katrina. Sometimes it's comical - like when she tries to talk on her cell phone and disconnects 5 times during our conversation by accidentally hitting the "off" button (they still don't have land line phone service in Chalmette). But...

Bird Feathers in the shower by Wulfdog
Anyone wake up in the morning or come home to bird feathers in the shower, or worse yet bird beaks, legs, feathers and guts on the carpet? Our cats are the best fed cats in Oklahoma, but they still love to have a good ole' bird murder weekly. We sometimes catch them and pry the bird out of...

Chipping my Cats by Fat Freddy
Our three cats go in and out as the please, and even though we live in a fairly safe, cat friendly environment, if they don't come home every day, I get worried. They all wear collars with tags, but they loose them often. Last week, Smokey was gone for a couple of days. On the third day I went to...

Purina Indoor dry cat food by Wulfdog
Any of you using the Purina Indoor formula cat food? Our cats go on strike if we don't keep a bowl full in their eating area at all times. By the way our cats are totally indoor out door cats. They have unlimited access to the outside, but they use the litter box, eat and drink in the house. ...

RIP Grandcat by Sherry
Orion had to be PTS. About a year and a half ago he was diagnosed with vaccination-associated sarcoma cancer. He received chemo, which slowed down the progression but unfortunately it continued to spread. The last year he seemed largely unaffected (except for the appearance of a large lump on his...

I survived, but... by Pat
..... they found another rotten tooth dammit :(((( and I'm now an additional $420 in debt with at least another $thousand$ or so worth of repairs needed to save three teeth that I'd lose otherwise. I hate losing teeth, would rather be up to my eyeballs in debt than have to get any more yanked...

I need some purrs/prayers :) by Irulan
My diabetes has been giving me a really bad time these past few days. I've been becoming hypoglycemic in the afternoons and thank goodness DH is home or I may have been in a lot of trouble Monday. Don't remember what happened but I regained my sanity in the emergency room of the hospital. They said...

D*g Question by CatNipped[_3_]
This might be controversial, but I trust this group to not start a flame war over it. This is a legitimate question, not fodder to start a fight. For those who want/have d*gs as well as cats... Would you adopt a pitbull puppy to live with your cats? I won't even ask about an adult d*g. But...

"Interesting" Obit by JBHajos
Since I've reached the stage in life where I've been reading the obits to see if I'm on the list yet, in reading them this morning I found one a bit unusual. A beloved lady had passed on and, of course, there was a list of survivors - - husband, son, step-sisters and -brother, beloved friends - ...

Big panic, need calming purrs by Christina Websell
I was reading the group just now when I heard awful screaming just outside in the garden, like a cat fight but more so. I rushed outside and shouted but they didn't stop fighting. I didn't think to get a torch first, it's completely black dark here which doesn't help because I can't see in...
