Boufriend is making me smile by Christina Websell
He's had his two wet meals and now he thinks I have forgotten his likkel sprinkle of dry. He nearly knocked me off my chair just now rubbing and purring so I guess he has to have it *right now* I swear this boy must have been reared on dry, he loves it so much. So he gets his sprinkle of dry. ...

Good to be back. Update of sorts. by tanadashoes
Not only am I going to be welcoming another son (Amanda and Jim's wedding is on Saturday) but I'm also welcoming another grandchild in late Sept/early October. We found out last Friday in Mandy's pre-nuptial medical check-up, and I would have broadcast it earlier but I made a promise to wait...

OT why I'm fat :-) by Kraut / Larry Stark
I figured out why I'm fat! The shampoo I use in the shower that runs down my body says "For extra volume and body". I'm going to start using "Dawn" dish soap. It says "Dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove".

Purrs and prayers for Catnipped by CatNipped[_5_]
Catnipped was rushed to the emergency room on Thursday around noon. 10:30PM Thursday night they found out a portion of her intestine had died due to no circulation. By midnight she was being operated on and had two and a half feet of intestine removed. She has infections in her abdomen, blood...

Ping Cheryl by [email protected]
Cheryl, did you change your email address? I just tried to email you at the address you use to post here, but it came back "account unavailable" or "user unknown". Do you have a valid address I could email you at? Mail me privately if you'd prefer - just take the X's out of my user name. Joyce --...

Who was that masked d*g anyway??? by Sophia[_2_]
A weird episode of the "Keystone Kops" shattered our peaceful afternoon yesterday. A bit of a back story. Our two cats are the "senior" members of the pet arm of the family. The d*g is 3 1/2 having been rescued when she was 8 months old. From day one she understood that she was the "underling"...

Neighbour's Cats... by MatSav[_2_]
Tonight, there were three of them on my short walk to a local shop - all unrelated. The first was a long-haired black cat (I've seen him before), with a colllar and bell, so I heard him before I saw him. When I did see him, he was nose-to-nose with a beautiful orange tabby cat that I haven't...

Spare a thought for the earthquake animals by Bev
Animals as well as people have suffered in the Christchurch earthquake. Everywhere in the city are notices asking if people have seen lost pets. A relative lost her cat and eventually found it hungry and frightened. That night she locked it in her bedroom with her but in the morning it was...

No Burp yet not totally OT by tanadashoes
Lynn has not burped yet, however William Michael has been given his eviction notice. If he hasn't been born by March 4th they are going to induce labor. Qui Gon Kit adores it when we sing or whistle the Star Wars theme. Hermione hates this and has a fit. So Lynn will sing/whistle/hum the...

Shamrock is too smart for me by Cheryl[_3_]
I thought I had posted this, but see that i didn't, so enjoy. The other day I was peeling some shrimp for tempura. Shamrock LOVES shrimp and can detect the smell no matter how little I cook. I put the peels in the trashcan to take out later after cleaning the kitchen. My trashcan is one of...

SNOW by MLB[_2_]
Another major snow storm with up to 8 inches in the valley and two feet in the mountains. Sending purrs for all kitties to find a safe place if they are outside. For inside kitties: purr for those less fortunate 00 it's cold! TuTu

More on Pepper by Yowie
Pepper has settled in nicely, and has got the hang of the place and our lives. She seems to think I am her main human, perhaps because she sleeps on my bed at night - and thats only because we won't let Cary have her on his bed until he sleeps in his own room. We gave him the option, and whilst...

Very surprised!! by ~*LiveLoveLaugh*~[_2_]
I'm eating a small bowl of vinegar and salt potato chips. They're my favorite. Oscar just jumped up here (on my desk) to see what the crunching was about. So I held a chip up to his nose thinking he'd sniff it and then jump down. NOPE!! He started licking it!! And he's not budging. He's...
