For Steve Crane by
[email protected]
This is for Steve Crane. The e-mails I send you keep bouncing, so I hope
you see this note here.
First off, I hope this note finds you well. About three years ago, you
gave me some very detailed and good advice regarding food for my two cats
(indoor-only, neutered males). Since then, I've been...

Two homes and cats by
[email protected]
Me and my partner both work from home and are considering buying a
second home (actually a flat) which we intend to travel between on a
weekly basis - one week in one place another in the other. All we need
to work is an internet connection so it would be quite feasible.
However, we have two cats....

buck toothed brother cats by
furfin
I'm in love with two long haired black cats at the shelter I volunteer
at. Both have long fangs that protrude below the upper lip and a bit
over the lower lip. I've never seen this before...seems to be genetic.
Will they have dental problems later? Has anyone else seen a buck
toothed cat?

What were pet dogs and cats fed before commercial food? by
Bunny
Hi. I read in one of the "All Creatures Great and Small" books (about
the English vet in the 40's) details of diets. One time the main
charecter told a small boy with a mangy, sick stray to feed him cooked
meat with lots of vegetables. Another story in one of the series told
about how he took a...

Knackered cruciate ligament. by
Helen Miles
My cat Pandora has either torn or ruptured her cruciate ligament in her
left hind leg. The vet has advised a period of rest to be re-assessed in
6-8 weeks, but in the meantime is there anything I can do to help her
heal and so try and prevent surgery?
Cheers
Helen M

Elizabeth Blake
On Monday I adopted a 1 1/2 year old kitty from a local shelter. He was
sent hom with Flagyl for diarrhea, which he finished yesterday. The flagyl,
not the diarrhea. He just did some more this morning. He is now sneezing,
and last night when I got home from work his left eye was red &...

What were pet dogs and cats fed before commercial food? by

Are there any records on what people fed their pet dogs and cats before
modern commercial food became available? Were dogs and cats fed
different foods as we now insist they must be?
They were fed table scraps and at least on farms, they were supposed to
be catching mice and...

Ruff turning gray by
Cee White
My 9 yr old cat's ruff is suddenly turning gray. This is
within a two week period. Each day there's more gray. Is this more
than old age? He eats a lot but is scrawny.
Thanks, Cath

intestinal lymphoma- treatment question by

Hi folks,
My cat Charlie has been diagnosed with small cell, slow-growing
lymphoma throughout the small intestine and in the portal tracts of the
liver. I've been given two basic options by our vet, a
gastroentestinal specialist. One is chemo injection treatments to see
if it goes into...
