Transporting -- how? by
Lotte
Greetings everyone --
Well, I found a perfect place for Mr. X... it's in California!! I've never
transported a cat, not to mention an incontinent one, that far, and I have
no idea how to do it. Should I take him as a carry-on on a plane? Drive
him? Are there services that will transport animals...

Neighbor jerk is shooting at strays. Any idea how we can stop him? by
Lashton
I work as a volunteer with a DFW-area rescue group.
A couple of months ago, we received a call from a man who is
attempting to trap and alter the strays around his apt. complex. He
also has a couple of neighbors who don't like the strays, and one
jarhead has been shooting at the strays with a...

SO Angry! by
Kalyahna
Okay. So I get home from work today, looking forward to having a functioning
kitchen light for the first time in a couple of months. I was a little
confused because it was a ceiling fan, not a replacement of the fluorescent
thing that had been up there. And then I looked around and notice...

Making old cat & young cat get along? by
Robotech_Master
I have a fat, oldish, spayed female cat, whose chief hobby is sitting
on the window ledge and hissing and growling at any of the
neighborhood strays that wander by.
The neighbors have an adorable half-grown gray and white Siamese.
Recently, the neighbors have moved out, and it looks as though...

hookworm disinfectant by
RedRiver35
Good morning.
Chelle here.
What do you use to clean/disinfect your hands after scooping litter of a cat
with
hookworms (or any worms)? I want to avoid contaminating my others. Mr.
I-have-hookworms is currently in isolation for two more weeks.
TIA

crying cat outside, what to do? by
RedRiver35
Good morning:
Chelle here.
Several weeks ago I trapped a medium sized to small gray tabby/white mix male.
He was
neutered, rabies shot, combo test negative. He bit the vet and was put in
rabies observation
for 10 days. I took him home and put him in a cage since I had two others in
the same room

older house cat attacked by feral ...help..no vet by
quilterhusband
Our older 17yr calico female got out tonight and got attacked by another
cat.
We interrupted before the feral cat could kill her.
She is small, deaf and bit senile I think. It 2am and there is not a vet
with emergency in our area.
I grabbed her and brought her in the house and inspected. There...

No Help Available For Ferals? by

Hi,
This is more of a vent than anything else, and this group seems like
the right place for it. Who knows, maybe you guys can offer suggestions.
I've just spent my entire morning trying to get trapping and spay/neuter
information for the 4 feral cats (all one litter) that came along with
the...

when find kittens at shelter? by
quilterhusband
We went to the humane shelter today to adopt two kittens. We want two so we
can share them better in our family and so they will be happier when alone,
but there were no kittens there. Only older cats...and no bonded pairs
which we would consider too if young.
Is there a good time of year when...

Two cats is better? by
trents32
We are considering getting a cat.
Will a cat be happier with companionship of 2nd cat.
Is there an issue getting two cats?
Does it matter if they both male or female or a mix when both are nuetered
and spayed?
We lost our cat and to have enough cats for everyone in family to share I
thought 2 cats...

My sister and her husband have a business in a Seattle neighborhood with a

For a kitten that is obtained privately and has NOT had all the shots,

adopt through a shelter I pay them $70-100 and the kitten as everything done
or payed for already. So I was wondering about the cost for...
