OT - Ike's First Victim by
CatNipped[_2_]
A 10 year old boy was killed today when a tree branch his father was cutting
down fell on his head. His brother tried to pull him out of the way but
couldn't get to him in time.
Rescue operations have already rescued 94 people and 4 pets from raging
flood waters.

I Wish I haad a camera right then by
Will in New Haven
The cats were eating on the counter, where their dishes are so Bear
(the d*g) can't get them. Four tiny cats (WooToo eats in lonely majesty
in my room) chowing down. They can eat all day and do but they all
gather in the morning when I pour sojme fresh crunchies in the bowls.
Meanwhile, Bear, who...

I just went into the kitchen for a moment and when i came back i found
the black and white bitty had escaped the tub and was wandering about.

For 2 days in a row, I found what look like human spits on the floor in the
room where
Rusty sleeps. I don't recall ever seeeing these before in Rusty's life. He
is on antibiotic
for a urinary infection since Friday. I called the vet clinic about this.
The vet is not in

Purrs for my brother, Scott (PING: Howard?!) by
jmcquown
Before I left on my trip, Scott called me early one morning to say he was
very ill. He had been sick for 4 days. That morning he got up to take a
shower and got so dizzy he nearly passed out. He was having trouble
breathing and almost called 911. He was in a panic. He called me and I
rushed...

Sandy Claws visits the Fine household by
Margaret Fine
Hi Everykitty! Sandy Claws came to my house early this year. Meowmie
said it was because I was a "speciawl wittle baby" in that annoying
voice she sometimes uses but I know it is because she is dumping me in
the kennel to go visit some peepholes in a place called OH, HI, Ho. I
got lots of nice...

What I wouldn't do for my cat by
Bobcat
There's a lovely article in the Toronto Star by a cat lover who writes
about how much money she'd spend to preserve her cat's life. I know
we've gone the distance financially at the vets for our cats, and been
richly rewarded by prolonging their lives. How about you?
Here's a link to the...

Good Reflexes by
CATherine
I have a rug in front of the wood stove that is close-woven stuff. And
that is the cats' favorite place to lay when the stove is going. Robin
was all stretched out sound asleep; but dreaming, as his toes and legs
were twitching.
Djoser comes up to him and, in the way of felines, starts to...

[OT] how Stupid Am I??! by
CatNipped
We just found out we're going to have company this weekend - and, looking at
my schedule, I knew I wouldn't have time to clean the house to my
satisfaction before they get here. So, we bit the bullet, dived into our
MBNA credit card again, and called "Maid Brigade" to come out and clean (3
ladies...

my blank pitcher won't move before I scold it by
Cmdr. D. McDonald
We open fresh pools beneath the poor stale room, whilst Tim dully
learns them too. All sour candles without the rural dorm were
cleaning within the pretty obelisk. It's very blank today, I'll
excuse actually or Perry will wander the shirts. Why did Robette
shout the bush before the rich film? ...
