When it rains it pours.... by
lrulan
We just lost both of our cars. Ok, one was 25 years old and the other was 15. But they were both running fine until they both decided to just up and die.
I have to wait until DH comes home from his office in Boulder, CO until I can look for a new car. Been looking at used Toyotas and the damn...

This morning I awakened to find Emily snuggled up on my left, Max snuggled
up on my right, and Pea curled up on my stomach.
Who needs an electric blanket?

We need help again... :-( by
Lucy's Mom
Actually, it kind of depends on the area you're in. When I lived in
St. Louis, admitedly many moons ago, almost no one allowed pets. Here
in Texas, however, almost everyone allows them. Obviously, Texas is a
superior place to live ;)
Seriously, though, Lynn, Lucy and I are purring that you find...

Popcorn by
John Biltz
This seems strange to me but Bruiser likes popcorn. I discovered it when
I knew I had dropped a few and when I went looking for them only found
Bruiser staring at me. Next time I gave him a few. I can't sit down
with some without him begging. Four good size kernals seems to satisfy
him and I am...

Purrs for Dusty please by
TJ and The Dust
I had to take the furbag back to TED today. His eye just isn't healing up.
After 1 week of goop in the eye 3 times a day it is much better but he is still
squinty and the membranes are red. So now TED gave me a script for eye drops.
Had to fill them at my pharmacy. These need to be given FOUR...

Having a bad 24 by
John Biltz
Yesterday morning I noticed my Powerbook was not charging. Now about 10
months ago I clumsily managed to step on the end of AC adapter that plugs
into the computer. Repeated surgery with a pair of needle nosed plyers
has kept it working this long but emergency surgery failed and the
patient died...

Those purrs are really somethin'! by
Allegra640
Yep, those good vibrations worked yet again. Apart from an occasional "achoo,"
Lola is recovering beautifully. Thanks to everyone who offered up
encouragement and good wishes. It's so comforting to know there's a place to
go whenever her mommy gets tangled up in worry.
Thank a bunch, guys.

Mice 2, Bruiser 1 by
John Biltz
Bruiser killed his first mouse last night. It looks like he ate it as
well. I couldn't find its body but did find some blood. I was trying to
get him in to go to bed and found he had caught one. It was still alive
then and he took off with it in his mouth when Maya and me walked over.
30...

Maverik - Her stories & a few photos by
Michi
Wanted to share some stories and photos from Maverik. A few photos to
start things off: http://www.xirr.com/~roberts/pictures1.html ,
hopefully I'll get some better ones scanned in.
Physically she's a typical mid-atlantic barn cat. You see cats on the
side of the road from Pennsylvania to Virgina...

Poor Me by
Gizela
Dear All
Apparently I have fleas, well, so my meowmie says. She told me last night I
will be getting a bath this weekend. I don't like baths. Won't someone come
and rescue me and save me from this potential torture? They aren't that bad
really....and REALLY....I think I can put up with the itching...

A Few More Weeble Piccies by
Magic Mood JeepĀ©
I've added a few more (silly) piccies to Weeble's second Webshots album.
http://community.webshots.com/album/94078345SDhwRn/3
I wanted to thank everyone for their purrs & well-wishes to rid Weeble of
that lump on his leg - it has shrunken considerably since last Thursday.
Also, even though I...

Potential good news for Pirate by
Christine Burel
Keep purring, everyone; I have a prospect for what seems may be a good home
for Pirate. I haven't been online much recently because I've been
concentrating on this (with much encouragement from the purrs here and also
from Megan) every free moment the past 10 days -- flyers, talking with
rescue...

Tiffany is in hospital. by
Flippy
Could I have purrs for Tiffy, please? Poor little thing was straining to go
to the litterbox this morning. She was going every two minutes and only
doing a few drops each time. She's been off her food the past few days but
wasn't straining at the litterbox until today. I did however notice a...

yay, happy dance was Accident by
GracecatOnl
He's off the respirator/life support system.
He's still critical but chances are very very slim that he won't make it
through this. We'll have our cute kidlet back :)
If you ask me, I'm expecting a marriage proposal to come out of this between
him and his girl. :)

the wind-up mouse by
Brenda
Today we bought a wind-up mouse for the cats - and got the following
reactions to it:
Max pursued it all over the house - bopping and batting it around, and
trying to bite its spinning tail.
Pea watched from a safe distance, and gave it a few cautious sniffs only
after it had stopped...

Rosie is an absolute dear by
Jo Firey
Rosie is growing up to be the most amazing cat. She has decided that I need taken
care of and is doing her best. When I use the bathroom, she comes in and
demonstrated proper litter box use. She joins me in the bathtub and sits or lies
down on any parts that aren't underwater. Tries to show me...

Upper Respiratory Infection by
Allegra640
First, Lola's upset tummy, then her bee sting and now this, an upper
respiratory infection ... all within the course of a week. According to the
handwritten chicken-scratch on the label, her doctor has given her something
called (winging it here) "Baytril?" which she started on Sunday night. Much...

Bye for a few days by

Hi all:
I'll be sending good thoughts to all who need them while I am at a yoga
conference in Toronto for four days. Back on Monday.
I feel like a terrible mom - to furless and furry creatures alike!
