B**st**d cat trick of the decade (LONG) by
Lesley
Hi all
I've always thought if one of the Fabulous Furballs would be
responsible for a b**t**d cat trick it would be Sarsi and not dear
quiet little Dunzi.....WRONG!!!!
Saturday mornings are when I pay back the overdraft on my sleep account
caused by staying up too late and having to get to work...

D**N THAT CAT by
Julie Cook
AND ALL OF HIS ANCESTORS TOO!!
I'm sorry, ya'll are the only ones that could understand the frustration I'm
feeling right now.
Barnabus is unwell. He's been sneezing and rubbing his face with his paw.
Now his eye is watering and I suspect a blocked tear duct which he's had
before.
I took off...

139 deaths later, heat wave appears over by
Jo Firey
Well it looks like we finally have a break in the heat. Today topped out at
94f/34c
A lot better than the 115f/46c we ran from last weekend
There have bee 139 heat related deaths in California, so far
http://tinyurl.com/jxls9
Two very sad and scary but typical heat related stories.

Strange hairball... by
Pat
I think I mentioned before that one vet I called when Abelard was sick said
he probably has hairballs. Although I did not believe he possibly could have
them, I started feeding an anti-hairball dry food after that, just in case.
I have only ever seen *one* tiny hairball come out of Abelard -...

[OT] Attention Birdlovers by
Pat
As soon as this Thursday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) is expected to rule on the fate of the most deadly
pesticide to birds -- one which also poses significant human health
risks.
Speak out now for our bald eagles, owls, and other wildlife!
Call EPA official James Gulliford at...

The Purina Diet - joke by
badwilson
I have 2 Labrador Retrievers & I was buying a large bag of Purina at
Wal-Mart and was in line to check out.
A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that no,
I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't
because I'd ended up in the hospital last...

She's gone - RIP Cleo by
Lois
Cleo went into a coma last night, we made her comfortable, gave her
cuddles, talked to her telling her it was OK to go.
Been a very emotional time, she has been my DH constant companion for
15 of her 17 years, she came into my nearly 5 years ago.
She slipped away a few minutes ago.
Sorry got to...

My neurotic cat by
Phorthythia of illiteracy
My neurotic cat is dylan. This story is one of my all time greats. I
had left dylan outside with the baby who was enjoying a nice new
pacifier. I was in the kitchen and heard a screaming about five minutes
later. My husband and I ran outside to find the baby covered in
paw-prints and no pacifier. A...

My posts haven't been showing up! by

I've sent purrs out, I've mourned for the dear losses of our group and
nothing has shown up for 2 days.
I just noticed that some posts may be showing up from early this morning,
just 6 to7 hours later, so hopefully the problem is being fixed.
I just want everyone to know that I've been here, I've...

Doggy dictation (BW) by
[email protected]
A friend of mine has a little dog with a high-pitched bark. This dog
gets excited easily, and since she and her human live in an apartment
building, where people (and dogs) are always coming and going, she
has many opportunities to get excited and make a lot of high-pitched
noise. (Causing some...

back from TED's by
Monique Y. Mudama
TED says Oscar's paw is probably going through another phase of
trying to work out fiberglass. She said it can take years for that
kind of thing to fully work its way out. So, in the meantime, we just
need to put a collar on her when she starts nibbling at it. If it
does start looking worse and...

Leading Jill Outside the Box by
Julie Cook
Jill,
I keep thinking we need to find you a way to make money that doesn't involve
interviewing with someone who will tell you no. That means thinking outside
the box.
The first idea I had was as a pet sitter. My pet sitter gets $25.00 when
she comes once a day and $40 for twice a day visits....
