King prawns from Thailand OT by Christina Websell
I will never eat them again. I saw a Tv program. There they are all in their tanks, seeming happy, mating. Swimming. Next day the females are in another tank on the bottom, not moving. The journalist asked what was the matter with them. The person there refused to answer. It turned out that...

Never saw so many jackdaws before by Christina Websell
At least 60-70 (if not more) overhead heading for a roost somewhere at 3.45 when I was shutting my chickens up. They were making their chak noises as they flew. That's how I knew what they were. Amazing. I do get a few jackdaws here, maybe 5 but I've never seen so many. Is this common?

When walking back (OT) by Christina Websell
from my group where I play scrabble and do jigsaws every Tuesday, my friend and I came across a skip with great pots to grown tomatoes in, or beans etc. We asked the official looking people there if we could have them and they said yes, and help yourself. It was a cannabis farm being dismantled -...

Spiders by Christina Websell
This is the time of year when your house spiders that you never knew you had come out. It's the breeding season. I got huge one yesterday, but unable to get to her to gather her in a towel and flip her outside. She was crafty enough to get into into a crack. I watched her crawling across my...

Bg dead rat by Christina Websell
Still here. I though the foxes would have had it by now. I'll have to dispose of it soon. Bet now:. 1. I will put the dead rat in the trash bin. 2. I got fed up with what the neighbours did and will throw it over into their garden Tweed

I thought Boyfie was iill by Christina Websell
He came in from the garden at lunchtime and soon went up to bed. He didn't get up for his important 3.45 teatime. All became clear when I opened the kitchen door later and saw part of a collared dove wing on the doormat. He'd eaten the whole bird, beak, feet, feathers and all! So no more food...

New food by Christina Websell
I'm trying Boyfie on Butcher's Classic tins. It might be better than Whiskas and he likes it. Today he does, anyway. It has a lot more meat in than is normally claimed for his pouches and no gluten and no sugar. I might keep him on it depending whether it upsets his tummy.

My neighbours by Christina Websell
They are still dreadful. When they reached over the fence to cut my tree down (illegal) they put the branches over the back fence. As I refused them permission to cut any tree down on the boundary they are sweeping up leaves from their "never let a leaf touch my perfect block paving" and...

OT my shoulder by Christina Websell
I am now taking 18 painkillers/day I had the ultrasound last week and my ligaments seem OK, but thin. I am going for a nerve test on Friday. I am fairly sure this is the problem why I cannot raise my arm. If it is this is very serious. Tweed

Steel yourselves - it's the worst news by Christina Websell
I have found out what has happened to Kitty Farmcat. Someone found her nearby and rang the RSPCA for advice as she was so old and frail. They told whoever it was to take her to a vet. Which they did, and she was put to sleep. I've haven't told June yet, I'll tell her when she comes in the...

A coincidence? by Christina Websell
When June came this morning she told me there was another cat missing from my street. She had seen it advertised for in the local paper - which she buys and I don't. It is a blue shorthair with three legs. I do hope that there is not some weird person calling themselves a cat rescuer cruising...

KFC - I miss her so much by Christina Websell
Being so frail and elderly she took up a lot of my time caring for her with providing her with posh food and making sure she was always comfortable. I cannot believe she is gone and that I will never hear her climbing the stairs to try and wake me up with her eh, hmmm, ay, mmm. She never could...

Karla by Christina Websell
I accidently deleted you from my spam folder when you offered a book about KFC's life. I do not want to do it quite yet as I am still hurting so much, but maybe in a few months? She was an amazing cat. Brave enough to ditch her home and launch herself out to find her own living. She weighed...

Totallly OT by Christina Websell
It was my birthday the other day and the present from my youngest brother was a an undervest. One of those old lady ones, and I hope he has an explanation for that. I have a sense of humour but not that much of a one.. He is not too big to have a slap around the ear. Tina

Poor Boyfriend by Christina Websell
He must have slipped outside when I fetched some wood in last night, and when I went to bed I was confident that he was asleep in his bed under the kitchen table near the gas fire. I wondered why he was not outside my bedroom door this morning when I woke up - and even more worried when he...

Ungrateful boy! by Christina Websell
I saw these pouches that were 60 per cent chicken, so I bought 4, thinking Boyfie would love them. I gave one of them to him for his meal last night. I thought he would fall on it with delight. Instead he sniffed at it and said "what the +**& is that?" I was so determined that he would like it...

Mr F, my car by Christina Websell
well he failed his MoT test today :-( Everyone in the Uk has to have this test done yearly if their car is over three years old. Mr F rarely fails except for minor things, but today he did it in a spectacular fashion. He needs some welding on his inner wings, those things under the boot (hood)...
