I wasn't dreaming by
Winnie
The other morning before dawn I thought I heard Rusty's voice. But that
couldn't be. He sleeps
in his own room with the door closed. It is one of the few doors he
can't open. His room is at the other end and I shouldn't be able to
hear him. Then I drifted off to sleep, and heard the noise again. I...

Went to the pool by
jmcquown
Persia climbed along the edge of the shower with me after I went to the
pool... it's another 100 degree day here and I took a dip at at the
apartment pool, then took a cool shower. It's hotter than Hades here in
west Tennessee so I took a nice cool shower. Persia hates water but she
decided it...

Errand Cats by
Kreisleriana
The street where I periodically do some special errands is pleasingly
populated with shop cats, so I get to visit with them. The first is
Mr. Tea, who lives in the Leaf and Bean coffee shop (not a cafe, but a
store where you buy coffees and teas). Mr. Tea is a small white
medium long hair with...

My one year old himalayian cat - "PICT1234.jpg" yEnc (1/1) by

This is a text-only newsgroup. Please do not post binaries into this

only got a load of gibberish, not a photo of a cat.
Should you want to show us a photo of your cat, feel free to post it to

She yodels! by
Marina
Miranda just yodelled! She has been very talkative the last few days.
Usually she has a very varied repertoire of meaows, mrows, mrooos,
mah-mah-mahs etc. But this was the first time she went into a falsetto
yodel. It was like Meow-meow-meow-YODEL-meow-meow-meow-YODEL! I wish I
could figure out...

Introduced the pumpkin......... by
Mischief
..........and the cats are not impressed.
It was an attempt to get them, Mayhem in particular, to eat some to act
as a laxative. Mayhem is prone to hairballs and that last thing i need
is a gastric obstruction. *sigh*
I did take a bit and held it in front of her nose but she didn't...

Sherry, I was hoping for an update today!
How is she doing? Is she acting much more friendly without the sticker
and eating like a pig?

A positive story about my father by
jmcquown
When I was about 16 years old there was a little girl who lived down the
street. She was in advanced stages of leuikemia and wanted to go fishing.
She wore a kercheif; she didn't have any hair due to radiation treatments.
Dad took her and her father fishing in his boat. She caught a rather...

Who Shut the Closet Door? by
jmcquown
I never shut the door to the closet in this room (my office). It's always
ajar at least 5 inches. That closet is Persia's hidey-hole and nap spot.
She loves to snooze on the plush rolled-up comforter in this closet. She
disappeared for a few hours so I assumed she was napping on said...

Another b*st*rd cat trick by
Cheryl
I got a lot of giggles over the ones posted over the last week. I
have to share one. Today I came home and when I walked in, I saw
something shredded at the top of the stairs. It was a roll of toilet
paper. Hmmm, that's new, I thought. Brought in the rest of the
groceries and then cleaned up...

A Tuxie "must see" by
Cheryl
This little girl has been in the shelter since 2000. That is at
least 6 years. I can't imagine that. At least she's in a foster
home. Ok peeps, if you had a foster for 6 years, wouldn't you be
calling her "yours" by now? ;)
My original intent in posting her Petfinder ad was to help find...
