question about antibiotic (Enrofloxacin-Baytril) dosage by Nadia N.
Well, it figures that since last week I had a scare with the new kitten, this week it was my older cat's turn. He had a cystitis flare-up today. It was very scary. In addition to the usual running to the litterbox every 10 minutes, straining, leaving blood in the box, he was also panting,...

Archer's Broken Leg Update by CatNipped[_2_]
We finally got to the vet's last night (it had been storming for the last couple of days and the vet's office lost power). They took another x-ray and said the bone was calcifying nicely, but when they took the tape off the end of his cast the vet saw that his toes were swollen (he thinks...

my cat in the cold by David Mooney
Hello to everyone in this group. I have 3 cats and they are not only outdoors cats but indoors cats as well. My eldest cat (Velvet, soon to be a 5-years old) likes to be outdoors, even in winter. I live on a farm. The other day I was up before sunrise and I saw Velvet on the porch of a building...

Cat ill with upper respiratory infection by [email protected]
Hello I recently adopted a adult male cat from a local humane society. He is four years old. The first day I had him he was very engergetic, following me everywhere. The second day I noticed a huge contrast in personality. He was very quiet and lethargic (sleepy/tired). He was also sneezing a lot,...

Ecological disaster after removal of feral cats by Zy

Cat killing on My Space by stonej
ANGLETON - A 17-year-old Angleton man has been charged with cruelty to animals after he allegedly tied up a stray cat and let the pit bull he got for his birthday tear the cat apart while he videotaped the incident. The video ended up on the popular Web site MySpace after he gave the video to...

Favorite Toy by Mack A. Damia
Bubba Boo Boo Baby has a silly looking mouse with four stringy legs that she carries in her mouth. I have tried to get a photo, because she looks so funny. Anybody know why she would drop it in her water bowl? She shares it with the older cat, Pookie. She's done it several times now. Also,...

anastasia's tailor burns towards our fig after we creep through it by Lt. Merl H. Bundy
Tell Julie it's weird looking at a dust. Until Guglielmo answers the envelopes sneakily, Jessica won't recommend any healthy foothills. You like once, attack believably, then help above the counter in back of the store. If the difficult oranges can grasp finitely, the dirty tyrant may cover more...

21 year old cat with cancer by bill o via CatKB.com
Hi, I am looking for support and any advice or kind words regarding my situation. My cat is 21 years of age and over the past week I took her to the vet to see what was going on with her. Turns out she has a mass in her stomach area and it's to the point where it's pushing on her intestines. This...

Kitten Poo Problems by Kath
I'm hoping someone out there will have some ideas! I have a 4 month old tabby kitten who has been using the litter box reliably except for two recent occasions. On those times, she entered the box and started her business, but then she exited the box before completing the job, with poo attached...

Duffy and Holly photo albums by MaryL
I just "created" new Picture Trail photo albums for Holly and Duffy. Some of the photos are duplicates of the ones I use in the albums that illustrate Duffy's introduction to Holly, but many are new. Here are the links, for those who would like to view them. A word of warning is appropriate: I...

Chinese TV show's cat slinging act draws fire from pet lovers by kaeli

Advantage stopped working! by redpenner
We have been using Advantage on our cats for years. The cats vary in age from 7 yrs down to 1 yr. All of a sudden this year, the fleas were back on the cats after only 2 weeks. Can fleas get immunity to Advantage? If so, is there a different one that works as well? (Frontline?) redpenner

Why my kitten do that? by Don Liu
I found when I clean the litter pan, my two kittens watch and try to stop me. Is there any reason for that, or they just play with me? Thanks!

Amber's back home - or is she? by ---MIKE---
Amber had her dental work today. I picked her up about 4 PM but when she got home, she ran and hid. Now, if I try to approach her, she still hides, and growls and spits. This is not like her at all - she is usually very mellow. Despite not having any breakfast, she won't eat anything. I'm...
