PURR CHAIN FOR BETTY by
[email protected]
When a church member is scheduled for chemotherapy, surgery, or such we
start a prayer chain, more-or-less synchronizing in real time with the
procedure.
Can we sort of organize a collective purr chain for Betty on Thursday?
Sending purrs, prayers, or just good wishes her way. I believe in...

Shameless cat by
Susan M
I've been working horrendous hours on some financial stuff for my daugher's
school and have had a parade of other people in the house helping me with
it.
Otis has jumped up and settled in on every single visitor's lap. He purrs
like crazy, his tail (rather alarmingly) puffs out and curls towards...

Seeking help for kitty with Feline AIDS by
jenniferm242
My cat Betsy was just diagnosed with FIV, and the local vet clinic has
pretty much given up on her. They claim this disease is untreatable,
but I'm looking for options anyway.
Has anyone in this group ever treated a cat with FIV? I'm not ready
to part with Betsy just yet, but she does need some...

Adopt-a-Senior Month (modified for cats) by
MaryL
November is adopt-a senior month and one of the staff writers for the local
newspaper is doing a story about senior cats. The hope is that the article
will inspire some people to adopt senior cats.
I know it's late in the month (I just learned about this), but I thought
some of you might be...

Fall Down, Go Boom -- Again! by
[email protected]
I don't know what it is with me this year, but at least there was a
reason this time.
Cat puke. Yup, unnoticed cat puke. I'm walking through the kitchen
after cutting the top of my freezer pop (they help my throat), and
didn't see it on the floor between the kitchen and dining room.
All I...

OT - humour - Been There, done that, by
Dave Gerecke
A paramedic was asked on a local TV talk-show
program: "What was your most unusual and
challenging 911 call?"
"Recently we got a call from that big white
church at 11th and Walnut," the paramedic
said. "A frantic usher was very concerned
that during the sermon an elderly man passed
out in a pew...

Continuing a little longer by
Takayuki
It's been three months since Betty was diagnosed with cancer, and I
was told that she had 6 - 8 months to live, if treated, so I assume
that she currently has 3 - 5 more months, or until February to May.
Today I took Betty in for her chemotherapy again. But when the
oncologist spoke to me, it was...

Katrina's lost pets by
Jo Firey
The following story, including a picture with a gorgeous black cat was on
the front page of our local paper today.
Its about a local animal shelter employee who went to LA to help with animal
rescue. I'm sure the Rotweiller in the picture isn't Lori's but it is one
very much like...

Visit to PetCo (OT) by
jmcquown
While on our trip, John (my LLL) and I were driving around checking things
out. We passed a PetCo and I said, "I want to go in and look at the little
critters." He said, "You'll just want to take them all home!" Well, yeah,
but I know I can't so hush! So we went in.
First thing as we entered...

GW: Poor Vernon by

Poor Vernon has been in bed all day with a horrendous migraine. So for lunch
today, I just finished off the last of the spicy lentil & vegetable soup I
made yesterday. My soup is.. err... known for it's ...err... 'quality' when
it comes to inducing digestive effects.
Now I'm polite, I have...

Did you and yours make it through yesterday's rough weather ok?

tornado warnings up your way.
Fortunately for folks in my area, we got the lightning, we got the
strong winds, we got boatloads of rain, but we didn't get any...
