Has anyone heard from Stormeee? by jmcquown[_2_]
I think about posters who have gone missing from time to time. Wondering what they're doing, how they're doing. Did they flee to Facebook? Inquiring minds and all that. Jill

Canned food for sensitize stomach wanted - non prescription. by kraut / larry stark
Trying to find a good canned food for a cat with a sensitize stomach and throws up. She is on a dry urinary food so that leaves dry sensitive stomach food out unless I want to spend another few hundred on urinary blockage again. Vet said she can have any canned and I would like to find a non...

Another Funny Cat Video - cats and water by jmcquown[_2_]
Maybe you've seen this. It's absolutely hiliarious when the tuxedo cat insists on holding onto the woman's glass of water. Too funny! Persia doesn't grab my water glass. But if I'm sipping ice water she reaches out a paw... I have to dip my finger in the water and she laps it up....

Nope, we don't like that food anymore by dgk
Maybe it's the change of weather but I have a fair amount of food that the cats will not eat. I'm going to donate a bunch of it to the local rescue people and my cats will just have to eat something else. I wonder what perfectly good and expensive food they will snub next.

Spazzie is coming out by ---MIKE---
Spazzie is spending the night ON my bed and eating lots of Fancy Feast. Yesterday she came upstairs and sat on the sofa next to me. Then she got on my lap. Next time I will use a towel (claw marks on my leg from when she suddenly got up). I think Tiger is jealous but there has been no aggression...

Update on new little one by Matthew[_3_]
ka'nyce is doing great. She is made herself at home. She still is in my mothers room. I been talking to her when I play and feed her doing the best a human can do in meows, chirps and purrs. I sent mom to see CATS play today. So I walked in to play with her. She was sleeping under the bed. ...

Roxy is better today! by Bastette
Actually, both yesterday and today, she's seemed a lot better. Her energy is better, she seems a lot more alert and attentive, and she's eating more. She's always eaten little bits at a time, so the fact that she's not hoovering her food is not worrisome. Licky seems more interested in eating,...

A Mousie in the Shoe by jmcquown[_2_]
Persia doesn't catch actual mice but she's got toy mousies. For some reason she's *always* been fascinated by John's sandals. (He's been visiting since March 29.) Last night I was walking through the living room and she was rubbing her face all over his shoes. It always makes us chuckle. A...

Scooter Update - reasonably good news by dgk
Apparently Scooter has a strep infection, enterococcus, that's in his skin so that's why he's been scratching so much and has so many scabs. That has been getting better with the initial antibiotic injection and I've been able to get him to swallow the antibiotic liquid by starving him between...

Sen. Feinstein: 'It could be foreign, it could be home grown'... by :ПеаБраин
Sen. Feinstein: 'It could be foreign, it could be home grown'... Speaking of the Boston attack. Where else could the attack have come from, outer space! Old gun-grabbing Jewish crone should retire!

Ping Mike Spazzie by jmcquown[_2_]
How's she doing on the eating? Did you get more Fancy Feast? I hope she seems to be getting much more comfortable in her new home and not worrying you (or Tiger, who sounds like one laid-back cat!) too much. Jill

Irritable Bowel Disease by Meanie
I'm hoping someone can help with this problem for one of our cats who is diagnosed with IBD. We have tried MANY remedies to control his hunger and his unexpected bouts of diarrhea. He has been and is currently on a special diet of food called ""Natural Balance" mixed with "NaturVet" Digestive...

A bit worried about Scooter by dgk
Scooter has been scratching his head, a lot. He did it a few months ago and I got some liquid to sqirt in his ears (that went over well) and an antibiotic ointment to put in his ears. Mostly I stick a cloth with the liquid and antibiotic on it and clean his ears out as best I can. It got better...

Hide and seek with a cat. by ---MIKE---
Swazzie is still hiding but keeps changing her hiding place. She did eat some of her food and used the litter boxes for both pee and poop. I haven't found her yet today and I have looked everywhere (obviously almost everywhere!) ---MIKE--- In the White Mountains of New Hampshire (44 15' N -...

Boston Market (not entirely OT) by Mark Edwards
Boston Market restaurant has (or, at least ours does) BBQ ribs. They are yummy! The only problem I have is that what is marketed as a "family meal for three" is JUST big enough for one person (I kid - it was about right for three REALISTIC people). Also, the cats tell me that if I REALLY love...

update on my father's kitten, and another kitten story by Jane[_3_]
Well, Dad still says that he wants to find a new home for Speedy, but I think that won't happen anytime soon. He lives in the country where kittens are hardly rare. His biggest objection is that the kitten is....well, a kitten, and keeps knocking things off tables and playing with them, and...

Worried about Roxy by Bastette
Note: I am going to take Roxy to the vet, so I am not asking anyone for a diagnosis here. I'm just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone, or if anyone has opinions or ideas of what might be going on. I went out of town for a few days and I had a friend come in to feed the guys once a day. In...

Something strange by Christina Websell
Boyfriend has not caught a collared dove since he used to bring them for KFC when she got too old to get them for herself and wouldn't eat anything else. That was 2009. When I let him out yesterday morning there was two collared dove wings and a leg on my doormat. He must have done it when he...

I'm sad on several levels by Mark Edwards
I'm sad on several levels. Our next door neighbor had two lovable big dogs. One of the dogs - Logan, however, hated other animals except for his housemate. Today, Logan ran outside, and killed another neighbor's dog. Logan has been taken away by animal control and will probably be...
