cati
Mistoffelees and Grizzy survived their week in the cattery. They sulked for
quite a while when they got home and are both shattered so guess they didnt
get a lot of sleep.
The cattery continued to give them the rescue remedy so Grizzy is still
settling at night.
i had a good week away. i do not...

Annie has arrived in Pittsburgh by
JoJo
Hi all! I just spoke w/Annie, they have made it to Pittsburgh safe and
sound. Had a little trouble getting out of Houston, other than that it was
fine.
Her hubby is going in for surgery on Thursday, but at this point they don't
have a time. She will call me later and let me know - I'll keep you...

Bruiser the Brawler by
John Biltz
Bruiser just had his first big cat fight. I wouldn't say he won but he
wasn't backing off. Normally any real violence just confuses him. I
heard two cats fighting out front. Not screaming but fighting. I ran out
there pretty sure it wasn't Maya. Maya's fights tend to be quick things
and this was...

I swear he's growing hands . . . by
Ginger-lyn Summer
I had just gotten a case of cat food, and pulled one can off the top
and fed the cats. A few minutes later, I looked down, and the pull
tab on the can underneath the one I grabbed was pulled up! Trill was
sittng next to the box, looking nonchalant. I *swear* he is growing
hands.

Houdini? by
Jette Goldie
Dakota was giving Apache a bad time tonight - wanted to
play "chase and tag" and "wrestle". She wasn't in the
mood and had told him so repeatedly ("HSSSSSS!
SPIT!!!!")
So when I got up to intervene and he ran and hid in the
bedroom, I decided a little "time out" would help him.
Ten minutes in the...

Any updates on the Buddy/Emmanuel front? by
Dan M
I recall a little while ago someone posted that Buddy might have
returned to his old neighborhood. Any updates on that situation? I'm
keeping my fingers crossed that he really is near home again, and can be
re-socialized quickly.

I saw a bumper sticker today that said, "Ninja monkeys are meeting as
we speak, plotting my demise."
I just thought you should know about it.

Dan Savage by

Hey, what's wrong with Dan Savage? He's hilarious!
Was this the guy who wrote that sex advice column, who always had his
writers address him as "Hey, faggot!"? If so, then yes, I used to enjoy
that column! Not only funny, but very sound advice. I obviously had him
confused with...

You're *Doing* It Wrong! by
Mary Pelis
If you've seen the movie Mr. Mom, you know the line. Unfortunately,
Mookie's seen it too, and has taken to using said quote on a fairly
regular basis these days.
Here I am, trying to be a good mother. Does he appreciate it? I don't
know yet. Anyway, back to the good mother thing. The boy is...

Eternal Sunshine (OT) by
Karen Chuplis
I highly recommend Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I just saw it and
it is such an unusual movie, somehow sweet, sad and funky at the same time.
Really enjoyable.

Margaret Fine
Margaret Fine wrote:
We live in a nice apartment complex outside of Washington, DC. Over the

I thought it might be fun to see what everyone's favorite cat names are. We
are owned by two right now:
Name: Marari (a.k.a. MarariCat, FatCat)
Meaning: Bitter
Marari is from the Bible, one of the three sons of Levi.
Neutered male Orange Tabby
Name: Mysti (a.k.a. MystiBaby, MystiCat,...

Ping Tanada by
Gracecat
Ok Pam, I'm in the middle of reading Asprins' Myth series with Aahz, Skeeve
and Tanda. Well Tanda's full name is Tananda, which of course made me
wonder *but* I knew Tanada didn't have that extra "n".
Sooooo, where'd the name come from?

Thank You, RR by

I had to spend two nights in DC to attend my adorable big fat
red-headed six-month-old nephew's christening. When I am away for one
or two nights, I leave Stinky home, and a friend comes in to feed him,
etc. I was anxious, because Stinky tends to overgroom when left alone
longer than usual. So I...

Francis the modest by

The other day a couple from the cycling club I belong to called round, in their
car, to drop off some paperwork which I was going to pass along to a third
party. I saw them pull-up outside the house, so I opened my front door. I was
followed by Francis. One of my firends got out of her car -...

Is there something about strawberries? by
Christine Burel
Whenever I get fresh strawberries I get very interested cats, particularly
Midnight. She rubs her face all over the carton and practically rolls on
the kitchen counter. I've offered her one and she sniffs it but hasn't
eaten it -- are strawberries related to catnip?
