Isaac the insane eating machine by Elizabeth Blake
I adopted Isaac last month from a shelter. He's 1 1/2, neutered, skinny & super sweet and friendly. For the first week or so that I had him he wasn't eating much and he was also battling an upper respiratory virus. Eventually he started eating more, especially when I cooked some ground turkey...

Cat won't poop in litter box! by Gaeriel_Aleigh
Scamper is about 4-5 years old. He's always been really good about using his litter box (unless it got too dirty) until last June. In June my family went on vacation and us girls were gone six weeks. During that time my brothers didn't clean his litter box once. During that time he started to...

Cat vomits after eating by [email protected]
My cat seems to have the classic symptoms of a hair ball. He vomits about 10 minutes after eating anything solid. Even a single piece of food will make him vomit. It makes him really miserable for about 10 or 15 minutes and then he's OK. Otherwise he's fine. He drinks, pees, poops, plays and...

Science Diet... by Joe Canuck
10 lb bag of the dry Chicken & Rice formula... At the Vet: $38.00 At Petsmart: $25.99 The vet ALWAYS has to order, Petsmart has it in stock. Is the increased price the shipping charge or the vets outrageous markup? ...or some combination.

Save the SNAKES! by cybercat
This is the snake my tiny tabby was afraid of when she saw it on the floor where my nephew had left it four years ago when I brought her home from the shelter. A few months later I got it out again and she began conquering it several times a day with great howling and crying and bringing it to me...

Missing cat by Simba's Mom
Hi all - I am so stressed and need people to keep my baby in their thoughts today. I recently moved into a new house last week and it backs onto a forest, with few neighbours. Anyway I haven't let my cat out because I wanted him to become familiar with the territory first on a leash. However at our...

Yes! I did it - coworker was going to adopt a dog but she got a cat instead by T
Coworker of mine was talking to me about wanting to adopt a puppy or dog. I told her dogs were an awful lot of work and another co-worker told her how willful some dogs can be. Well I explained to her that cats weren't aloof, that they were very social creatures when it comes to their human...

Aggressive cat by [email protected]
I adopted a tiny, cute 1.5 y.o. female from SPCA and have struggled with her for almost 3 years. On a dime, she will turn and bite or scratch me. I had a friend over for brunch the other day and she drew blood! Any suggestions? She is a very nervous cat. Tx

not sure if this is ringworm by dagon
HI my cat has a white spot about the size of a dime that no fur grows on on his back. I thought it was ringworm but it's been there for a while and is not spreading and I have not developed any ringworm spots. Any ideas on what it may be based on the description?

Otto's not eating, medication questions by Elizabeth Blake
My cat Otto, almost 7 years old, started acting weird Wednesday. On Thursday he went to the vet who diagnosed colitis. He said it would probably pass in a few days and it could have been brought on by stress. Otto barely ate breakfast on Wednesday (and threw up what he did eat) and did not eat...

Poisonous/Dangerous plants by Kiran
Is there a list available of yard / garden plants that are poisonous or dangerous for cats and should be avoided? So far we only had grass. Some reorganization of the property has opened up a little space for plants and I want to be careful with respect to our kitty.
