Can cats smile? by
[email protected]
Hi everyone.
I think if any of you own cats, you are probably familiar with the way
your kitty blinks her eyes slowly at you when she is happy. Lots of
people call this a 'cat-smile'.
I've tried to add this information to wikipedia, an online encyclopedia
(can you believe that it wasn't there...

Daisy's Complicated Allergy/Meds Problem by
sdavies6
My Daisy is a 4 year old Snowshoe Siamese. She lives in my small studio
aprtment with her brother Mickey. Daisy is a timid cat and she often growls
(deep gutteral growling) and hisses at Mickey. Sometimes he deserves it, as
he throws her off the cat tree. Other times he is simply walking by...

Toma won't allow the kitten.... by
Hi All,
I thought that I could pick your brains for ideas on how I can get my 12
year old female cat to accept a spayed 5 month old kitty. The kitten is
Pretty Girl (now known as Katie.). I have tried everything & Toma ( the 12
yr old.) won't even consider it. It's making me crazy! Any good ideas...

how encourage cats onto cat-bed ? by
Eddy[_2_]
Some of you might have been through this process before and might be
able to save me a learning curve.
Our two cats are very affectionate and although we leave them a warm
living-room to sleep in at night, they nearly always follow us upstairs
to a chilly bedroom at bedtime. As you may all have...

queenbee
Hi, does anyone have any advice on re-covering a scratching post? My cats

carpet, a slanted post covered in sisal, and a curved part on top they can
lie in. I don't want to get them another post because a.) these posts are

About Whiskers (my cat) by
Whiskicat
Whiskers is a sort of killer cat. I love him. He is also nice to snuggle with when warm and purring! He is a frisky whiski when he runs around like he has ants in his pants. He meows when:
He wants food
He wants to go out
He wants to come in
He wants to play
or he wants attention, which is usally...

Litterbox Training a Senior Cat by
Marek Williams
I'm rescuing an old stray (Old George). When I first started with him
he was almost feral. He wouldn't let anyone get near him and, if
anyone did he would scratch, bite and hiss. It has taken me a couple
months but I've gotten him to the point where he actually enjoys being
petted.
I let him in...

Door Bungee by
Ruby Tuesday
Hi folks,
I bought my cat a door bungee (the bird one) a few months ago, and my
Siamese has had a ball with it. He's taken it apart, so much so that I've
had to re-tie the string around the bird, and the top part of the string
around the plastic door holder part again.
Well, earlier today my...

I have a male tabby, about 8 years old. Very healthy, been taking him

and his litterbox is cleaned every day. He has this obsession with one
