Purrs asked for by
Helen Miles
I know I mostly lurk these days, but please could HRFL Tiger and Pandora
have some purrs and good thoughts? They are both having major dentals
tomorrow and I am worried sick.
I'm particularly stressed because Tiger has quite a serious heart
complaint, and of course, my brain is working overtime...

Snared by a bittie... by
Helen Miles
I have a very sneaky feeling that providing I can get HRFL to accept
him, Flanagan will be staying as part of my motley furry crew...
He's quite the cheeky little bittie. :o)

OK - It's official... by
Helen Miles
It's official! I am very firmly wrapped around a little itty bitty paw.
;o)
An adoptive mommy came to look at the kittens to book them tonight. They
did the whole "cute widdle kitten" thing, and I persuaded the adoptive
mommy, Elaine, that "Of course, 2 are better than one..." ;o)She decided
on...

Alfie is a horror! by
Helen Miles
So I thought I was keeping the smallest, quietest, most reserved kitten
of the 3. However, over the past 2 days, Alfie has been hanging out with
his mentor and hero, HRFL Tiger.
HRFL Tiger has been teaching him EVERY ******* cat trick in the book.
Bear in mind Alfie is 1 1/2lbs & 6 weeks...

The bitties are gone :o( by
Helen Miles
My house is very quiet tonight. :o(
3 little fluffy hoolikittens ahev gone to their forever homes, and
whilst I feel happy that they will be cherished and loved by their new
slaves, and they'll all be using the vet I recommended so I can keep
tabs on them, I miss them.
Flanagan has been renamed...

Please wish me luck...... by
Helen Miles
I have just mailed my resume to the American School in Japan as part of
a speculative application for a position of science teacher within the
school structure. I have absolutely no idea how it will pan out, but the
deputy head of the school is someone who has known me since I was 8
years old, so I...

Didn't get it :o( by
Helen Miles
Got notified by the Welsh Assembley today. I didn't get the job. :o(
I'm finding this really hard. I'm either too over qualified, too under
qualified, have the wrong qualifications, or all 3. It's really very
depressing.

I've got Bitties! by
Helen Miles
Yup, I'm fostering 3 of them. Three little black and white 6 week old
tuxedos. :o)
A sister and 2 brothers, they were dumped in a box in the Taff, a very
large river running through Cardiff.
They arrived via Cats Protection this evening, look pretty healthy and
the little girl has been named...

Fostering is *SO* worthwhile. :o) by
Helen Miles
I had a lovely suprise saturday. The adoptive mom and dad of 2 very
sick, very feral, very timid and terrified kittens that I fostered in
September '04 stopped by out of the blue and knocked on my door. When I
got the kittens, they were infested with roundworm to the point they
were puking them up,...

Miles Dental Update. by
Helen Miles
Thanks for all the good thoughts guys. :) Both masters are home and
safe, with no side effects from their dentals.
HRFL Tiger has 2 teeth out and Pandora had 3 teeth out. All were rotten,
so they must have been uncomfortable. :(
Anyway - thanks again - the good thoughts helped tremendously!

New website... Cat related ;o) by
Helen Miles
If you folks are interested, I finally have web pages set up talking
about my work with the Scottish wildcat. The site belongs to a friend of
mine, and is really cool too.
There's also a rather swanky up-to-date pic of me and his Royal Feline
Lordship Tiger, taken about 3 weeks ago.
The URL is...

Another one moves in! by
Helen Miles
I must have MUG tatooed on my forehead.
I have been adopted by a stray cat. He's a very large grey tom cat
who has pitched up in my garden looking very scraggy and un-loved.
HRFL Tiger beat him up, but he still came back. He's moved in, and I've
called him "Belfour". For those of you who don't...

Wishes and purrs for Chatter... by
Helen Miles
Hi folks,
As is protocol, because Chatter came into foster care from weird
circumstances - she was supposedly *found* by a guy who kept changing
his story to the different members of CP he spoke to. As the story
didn't add up, and we suspected that Chatter had been "cat-napped", we
advertised...

Yowie, I have a complaint to make. ;o) by
Helen Miles
Yowie, I feel I really must protest at the posting of IBK-Fergus
pictures and your encouragement to go see them. IT'S NOT FAIR!!! I now
have "extreme" itty bitty black kitten fever, no thanks to you and
IBK-Fergus!
Humph.

Little miss bossy boots by
Helen Miles
I'm so happy! My little ex-feral Pandora is a difficult customer.
She has never quite tamed up, is very spooky and jumpy and after 4
years I've only just been able to start gently stroking and tickling
her.
This evening, I was cooking some fresh fish in the microwave, when
she trotted into the...

And just to top my day off - suggestions needed by
Helen Miles
My fraidy feral Pandora snuck out of the back door when it was open
this morning. She has managed to get into the back lane which is
over grown with brambles and bushes, so finding her is "difficult".
I have a good idea of where she is, but obviously want her back
indoors.
She doesn't come when...
