How to make provisions in my will for care of my cats? by
MaryL
I plan to update my will sometime within the next few weeks, and I would
like to provide protection for my cats. A friend has agreed to care for my
cats if anything were to happen to me - in fact, she asked to be named as
their guardian. That is a great comfort to me because she is wonderful...

Well, my roomie and I are officially Crazy Cat People and already have

those of you who have this many cats would give to us?

Cat Brush by
Fat Freddy
We recently had a longhair cat adopt us and I would like to brush her,
but the brush I use for other other guys, a short hair and medium hair,
doesn't do a very good job on her. It just slides along the surface of
her fur without really brushing her.
What kind of brush should I get? One with fewer...

Maine Coon Question by
---MIKE---
The way I understand "trilling", it sounds like a meow while the cat is
purring. Tiger does this when I ask him if he wants a particular treat.
The sound cats make while watching birds is usually called "chattering".
This common with most cats although mine don't seem to do it. I think
Tiger is...

Help! Kitten having accidents by
oboist311
Three months ago, I took in a stray male kitten. Q stays indoors all
the time and has never had any trouble using the litterbox. He is now
six months old. Q has urinated twice on the floor this week. He is
squatting, and I have read that male cats do not squat to spray. I am
getting him...

Feline lymphoma question by
Someone
Our 7-year-old cat has stage-1 lymphoma involving
only the gland on the left side of the neck. He has
started treatment with Vincristine/Cytoxan/Prednisone
and has responded well so far (gland reduced 90%).
Now that the gland is practically normal size, would it
be worthwhile or even possible to...

Cats that heal by
.oO rach Oo.
I have heard several stories and seen first hand - cats that know when you
are hurting or sick or sad and act in ways to 'heal' you.
Last week I had my gall bladder out and a few days later, I came home and my
3 month old kitten, Stella got in my lap and immediately went to each of the
four...

There actually is a word for it by
Jerold Pearson
Since some in this group have mentioned this particular condition
(especially with long haired cats), I thought I would share with you my
discovery that there is a Pennsylvania German word for it --
"aarschgnoddle." According to Bill Bryson, in his book "Made in America,"
it means "the globules of...

What a rip off!! by
afr
I finally heard from Veterinary Pet Insurance re. my cat's FLUTD claims.
The claims totaled about $1500 that included getting him unblocked and
follow-up care. I got back $300.00. The annual premium is $445. Not
exactly worth it!!!
