Many thanks to Dan for helping the pictures of my pride and joy get
set up, with as many pictures of my kinder as he could manage. I
thought I'd lost the link when we got the new machine, and had to
spend a couple of weeks getting it up and...

Boss cat and his cowering followers by
Trish
Did you ever have one of those weeks at work where you thought there
would be no end and wonder just how to keep your head up til 4 on
Friday. It's been one of those for me, plus we purchased new furniture
this week and have spent most of our evenings and nights assembling it.
So the days have...

Jane carries Chester by
Susan M
Hi all:
My daugher has taken to carrying Chester around lately. She is little so
she carries Chester like a forklift would. Arms straight out in front with
one behind the front legs and one arm in front of the back legs. Chester
droops down patiently as she carries him into her room.
Very...

Kitten update by
[email protected]
Still haven't been able to find anyone to take them. There's a
possiblity from a friend, but I haven't heard from her yet. I've made
some flyers to put up various places (vet's office, library,
churches).
In the meanwhile, I have had to change their names, after getting a
closer look -- hehe. ...

He's learning by
Marina
Caliban is a very food-motivated cat. He is always trying to snarf, not
just his own food, but Frank's and Miranda's food, too. This is not
good, since I mix Frank's hyperthyroidism meds in his food, and mrianda
still refuses to eat any sort of cat food, and only eats fresh meat and
fish. Caliban...

Claudius: new photo by
Exocat
Inspired by Marina's lovely series of Caliban and Miranda, I managed
to capture C being cuddly with Bandit (at last).

Miss Priss goes to TED by
Magic Mood Jeep©
She hasn't tried to 'escape' since the last time - guess she realized it's
nicer inside (and warmer, too, we've been getting down into the 40's F at
night). She didn't want to get into the carrier - mainly because Ping was
already in there (IT'S A BOX!!!!!), but once I got Ping out, it was...

Oh, Persia spotted SOMETHING by
jmcquown
Last night. The weather has been great here; it was about 65F last night
early when I caught Persia in the open window. She hadn't made a sound up
to that point but I noticed when I got up her tail was the size of another
small cat! What? Persia? Why the puffy tail? I went over to her and...

Roundworms by
CatNipped
SIGH I knew something like this might happen.
Jessie defecated outside of the litter box this morning, and in the feces
was a roundworm. It looked like this, except it was a bit more translucent
and had bloody streaks in it.
My sister-in-law's cats are indoor/outdoor so she may have gotten it...

Caring for a stray (2): Winter preparation by
Ajanta
Continuing about the stray/homeless cat I feed.
I live in Midwest and we will have temperatures down to 20's and wind
chills into single digits. I don't know what she did last winter.
Actually I don't know if she would even need my help this winter. But I
want to have some help for her on my porch...

Blinkers by
[email protected]
Off to Corfu tomorrow night, could do with some cute but hungry kitten
blinkers. I've been warned by other half to keep my distance, and not
announce "Soft Brit Female Alert" this time, as last time they not only
peed in my shoes which were drying out on the balcony (nice aroma, I
can still smell...

Brandy Update (long!) by
Julie Cook
Baha,
Trust me, Brandy is going to be fine. My Selena has 4 teeth remaining (she
once had 9 teeth extracted at once, including her top fangs). My vet told me
that some cats have a genetic predisposition for dental disease. Tell Louie
that my Selena loves her crunchie food more than she does her...

Over-Weight, No Claws, Yet Bags Errant Bird by
Robert Cohen
Beauty was making a noise, apparently jumping upon cardboard boxes in
the garage. I opened the door connecting the kitchen to the garage, and
saw my fatty catty chasing a little bird that had apparently
wandered/gotten under a slightly open garage door.
I opened the entire garage door, but it was...

Chester's blood work and dental schedule by
Susan M
Hi all:
Chester went in for blood and urine tests in advance of his dental work on
Tuesday the 4th of October. All his results were great, some even improved
from a couple of years ago. We have a healthy nine year old cat on our
hands ... though I worry like crazy about the anesthetic.
Susan...

Good news for me (OT) by
jmcquown
No, I didn't win another year supply of prescription cat food LOL
Got a letter from my apartment management. Because I have lived here so
long (since 1998) they are not going to increase my rent when my lease is up
at the end of this year. I also get to choose one item each from A, B, & C:
