Sleepless night by
Christina Websell
I had the most awful nightmare last night, about Boyfriend. I dreamt I
heard the screech of brakes outside, and then a car speeding away. I went
out of the front door and found Boyfriend on the pavement (sidewalk)
thrashing around with an obviously broken back. I gently picked him up, and
I knew...

spayed kitten update by
Karen AKA Kajikit
Well, Scout and Silver will let us handle them again... on Friday
night Scout would run and hide if you bent down to touch her, and
Silver would stand her ground and swear profusely at you. They're back
to being cuddly now, but on their own terms only. If they come to you
and jump up on your lap...

Horrible Tasteless TV Show by
CatNipped
OK, what's new right?
"Still Standing" showed an episode about the wife's sister's cat dying.
None of the characters showed even a modicum of sympathy, but made fun of
the woman for grieving and made fun of the cat. I've never seen a show
about a dog dying that was made fun of, but cats seem to...

Ping Tweed - my server's missing your posts by
O J
Hi All,
I saw quotes of Tweed's follow-ups to my article on Puss Puss' friend
Midnight from other folk, but did not see Tweeds follow-ups themselves
till I looked in Google. My ISP, SBC Internet, is usually pretty good
in the text-based groups. I'd appreciate it if a few folk would let
me know...

Finally - a name by
Julie Cook
As many of you know, DH and I are both auto racing fans and yet neither
of us felt that the name Mario fit our little black cat. Every time I
tried it out I'd see that obnoxious little guy from the video games.
None of the M names seemed right. TED thinks he's around 1.5 y/o and he
has very sharp...

Snippage Day! by
kilikini
Miss Chloe and Mr. Tyronasaurus go in in an hour and a half to get fixed. I
normally wouldn't be concerned, but the vet isn't even keeping them
overnight; I just drop them off and pick them up before the office closes.
Is this a normal procedure? Every other animal I've had neutered or...

Sunny the cockatiel has flown to the RB by
Steve Touchstone
I've mentioned several times that I have feathered family members as
well as the cats. The birds came first, the cats moved in several
years later. When I gave the birds clean water and food this
afternoon both were fine. I went outside for about half an hour, and
when I came inside Sunny had...

New cat and job update by
Dick C
Since Shroder went to the RB my wife and I have been looking for another
cat. We finally found one last night. Another orange tabby, of course.
He came from a young woman who was giving him up because she was never
home.
So, we bring him home, get him out of his carrier in the living room.
He...

Today is Duffy's adoption anniversary+birthday by
MaryL
Today is the anniversary of Duffy's adoption+birthday. Well, he was actually
adopted on Jan. 31, 2003, but that was late in the afternoon and we headed
directly for TED. So, Feb. 1 was our first full day together, and that is
what I consider his "anniversary." I also arbitrarily set Feb. 1 as...

Purrs needed for Morgan, the baby kit - update by
Mishi
Morgan wants to thank you all for the purrs - he is feeling better tonight!
Vet thinks he had a bit of a tummy ache, but couldn't find anything else
wrong. He is eating now, but not as much as before. The vet says he should
be eating about 3 tbsps a day for his weight (6.8 oz), but not to worry...

Dishwasher! by
Sandra
Why is it that the camera is never handy when you need it? Memphis and
Phoenix have built in radar for when I load the dishwasher, so I usually
keep a very close eye on what they are up to at that time. I had been making
chocolate cake and had loaded the bowl and stuff into the dishwasher when
the...

Purrs needed for Morgan, the baby kit by
Mishi
I am worried about Morgan. He is refusing to eat, and he really hasn't had
anything since about 1:30 pm yesterday. He is acting ok, purring and acting
sort of hungry, but when you give him his bottle, he spits it out. :( I
changed formulas, just to see if he would eat, but no go. :(
I am going to...

Hanging Poopies by
Lesley Madigan
The worse one we had was Redunzel.....
Now as we have been owned by cats for about 20 years, we are used to
the odd whatever you want to call it. We simply chase round with a bit
of toilet paper to remove the offending hanging poop before the feline
decides to wipe their backside on the...

A few purrs for Joel(DH)? by
Yowie
If there's a few spare purrs around, I think Joel, my DH, could use a few.
Its been a crappy month, money has been a big issue and we ran out before we
could get Joel all the medication he needs and we couldn't afford his to pay
for his psychologist appointment so had to cancel, and as such, he's...
