Kitten Makes A Mess When He Poops
I have a two and a half pound male kitten who was rescued off the street. When
he poops, instead of crouching so his butt is elevated like a normal cat does, he pushes his bottom into the litter and ends up with quite a mess stuck to his behind. After I clean him up he drags his butt on the floor. He has been wormed for roundworms twice and tapeworms once. His stools are pretty normal. Any ideas what could be causing this behavior? Put less litter in the box until he learns how to judge his depth. THat is a
YOUNG kitten and they have not perfected skills yet. Maybe even mix shredded paper (that will brush his butt above the litter line) and litter to teach him to keep it up.
