[OT] These are amazing!
Remember folding up pieces of paper, cutting out diamond-shaped
holes in them, and then opening them up to reveal a snowflake, or other symmetric pattern? Here's some art made by cutting things out of paper: http://www.petercallesen.com/index/A4PAPERCUT_000.htm And here's another one, with a very different approach: http://www.georgehart.com/kirigami/kirigami.html Joyce |

Some of them look quite simple and straight forward, but I'll bet that's deceptive! Well, I knw I couldn't make anything as nice as these. And some of them seem incredibly complex. The skeletons are so detailed! What I also like is the empty space on the paper after the image is cut out. The one of "skeletons in the closet" left a beautiful image on the paper. Joyce |
