Need Help for my Lilac point Birman
Hi,
My male cat is draging his right hind leg and he has been to the Vet for tests that don't find anything wrong with him. He has had x-rays, blood tests etc. and all come back fine. He has taken antibiotics and prednisone and he keeps getting worse. He will be 12yrs next month. My other Birman is 10 yrs and very healthy. has anyone had a similar problem?? He doesn't seem to be in pain and still eats well. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks, Patti |

It could be a number of other things, including blood clots, neurological disorders, stroke, or cancer. If x-rays were done, I'd think they'd have caught things like arthritis, spinal impactions, fractures, or other injuries, but it never hurts to get them re-checked. Please take him for a second opinion, and to a specialist or at least a vet very familiar with geriatric feline issues, if possible. -- -- ~kaeli~ Contrary to popular opinion, the plural of 'anecdote' is not 'fact'. http://www.ipwebdesign.net/wildAtHeart http://www.ipwebdesign.net/kaelisSpace |
