FIV home
Hi, A friend of mine just took in a pretty little cat, took it to the vet and found out it had FIV (feline aids) she wants to find it a home, "maybe" where someone rescues cat's with this problem. She lives in upper NY and I was wondering if any of you know of a place near there that take these cats in???? Thanks for ANY help, Aimee |

They should have listings of any sanctuaries in the area that take FIV positive cats. You might check with your local vets as well. It's very possible that some of their clients have cats who are already FIV positive and would consider adopting another one as a companion cat. |
If your friend has no other cats, she should simply keep this cat. As long as she (the cat) is feeling well and kept inside she has every chance of leading a happy, perhaps even long, life. Sharon Talbert Friends of Campus Cats |
