Yes, it makes it better. And your stuff smells better too, as both male and
female cats "mark" when they are not neutered.

Yes.

He won't spray your furniture, shoes, clothing, walls, etc. etc.

He won't go out and get in fights with other male cats, coming home with
terrible infected wounds, requiring VERY expensive emergency surgery.

He won't be constantly trying to 'get outside', so he can mate, and get
in fights with other male cats, and then coming home with terrible
infected wounds, requiring VERY expensive emergency surgery.

If he gets out, he will be less likely to travel long distances from
your home, looking for females to mate with.

This means he's less likely to get hit by a car, or a punk with a
baseball bat, or some redneck with a rifle or shotgun.

He will tend to stay close to home, or will be very happy being an
'indoor cat', and won't be outdoors picking up fleas, ticks, mange,
round worms, flat worms, liver and lung flukes, hookworms, tapeworms,
FIP FIV, toxoplasmosis, and all the other nasty diseases that will KILL
your cat.

So: neuter your cat NOW!!!

He will be a MUCH happier cat, and will be a much better companion to
you. And will live a much longer, and MUCH healthier life!

In addition to the truths others have already listed, you also reduce
his risk of some cancers.

Some people have said that their cat got "mean" after a neuter. Total
personality change. In MOST cases, the cats personality improves.
Others theorize that a cats personality doesn't fully form until they
are adults, and so the neuter has nothing to do with it.

In any case, a neuter is absolutely essential to the well being of all
cats. Over population is ugly.
