I have a 9 year old cat and it underwent surgery on Monday to have a tumor
removed from its left flank. It lies down doing nothing, only drinking water. This evening it will be 72 hours of the operation. I'm waiting for the results of the biopsis. The Vet said that it was a huge tumor. I' m desperate that I cannot do anything for him. I tried to force son vitamins and very soft food made por him but he does not accept it I' willing to hear any advise. Thank you |

You should talk to the vet about his not eating. Try warming up meated baby
foods without onion. Gail wrote in message ... I have a 9 year old cat and it underwent surgery on Monday to have a tumor removed from its left flank. It lies down doing nothing, only drinking water. Yes, please call the vet. They may have to put him on an IV. It's
dangerous for your cat to go this long without eating. If he needs to be force-fed, you may have to mix soft food and water (blenders work well) and syringe-feed him. The vet can help with a plan. If he doesn't recommend syringe feeding, I think you should take your cat to another vet as soon as possible. Your first loyalty is to your cat- not your vet. Good luck, Phil |
