Question about hairball stuff
Shamrock is horking up hairballs again so I'm starting him on the hairball
stuff. There was a bit of dried hardened stuff around the opening and it pulled off in a solid piece. Scarlett ate it in one bite. Is it as effective dried as it is goopy? I'm starting an experiment by drying some on wax paper to see if it's as easy to give as treats, but if it isn't effective, no use. |

I believe the active ingredient is a quarter teaspoon of paraffin oil per dose How you get a cat to take it is another question (mix it with food?) Careful pouring it down cats throat they have a very poor breathing system! Some have success with a plastic syringe to SLOWLY squirt dose on cats tongue allowing cat to lick it down (not pleasant) Petzl |
